Just got the Moanin' today so I haven't even opened it up. I have yet to open the Silver and the Brooks from Music Matters, so I better get on the stick! :palm:

Nice, I'd love to hear whether you prefer the Brooks or the Silver. You can be my tie breaker on which one I buy. I like the music on both, but am leaning slightly towards the worldliness of the Silver just because its fun. :)

Joy Division - Unknown Pleasures on 180gm vinyl

I can't believe I let this one go by without saying something. Good get deepak. I love the new Joy Division pressings. I've never heard the originals, but these sound great to me.

I'll try to listen in the next few days and let you know.

Ditto on the good JD get, Deepak. The originals are very cool, but I have yet to compare with the reissues.

Sorry, Jack, you just have to get them both. :P It is a really hard choice because they both sound excellent and the music is great. If you have heard both and like the Silver, then I will agree that is the one to go for. It is more unique and really fun. The Tina Brooks album is an amazing album and not one I was familiar with, but it is a little more straight up hard bop.

Bah! Well I'll probably find a way to squeeze both in there. :) Thanks for your impressions.
