Dusty Chalk Posted May 18, 2015 Report Posted May 18, 2015 VNV Nation, Resonance, 88kHz/24-bit version 1
luvdunhill Posted May 27, 2015 Report Posted May 27, 2015 Let's see: orders from CDJapan, Acoustic Sounds, jpc, two large lots on eBay and aardvark-allotment-of-amazement. Should be set for a while. 1
luvdunhill Posted June 2, 2015 Report Posted June 2, 2015 FYI there is a new Esoteric Jazz Set:http://www.esoteric.jp/products/esoteric/essb90122_27/indexe.html
mikeymad Posted June 2, 2015 Report Posted June 2, 2015 I forgot that Esoteric was doing SACDs --- oh they are $65 each... now I remember. 2
luvdunhill Posted June 2, 2015 Report Posted June 2, 2015 I forgot that Esoteric was doing SACDs --- oh they are $65 each... now I remember. These are the first Jazz though. And lol. 1
luvdunhill Posted June 2, 2015 Report Posted June 2, 2015 Anyone know where one can get a complete XRCD discography list, now that ED is the NA distributor? I remember when JVC maintained the site there was a nice list there... Perhaps Posty has one?
nopants Posted June 2, 2015 Report Posted June 2, 2015 the JPY to USD rate makes everyday christmas at CDJapan 1
Dusty Chalk Posted June 3, 2015 Report Posted June 3, 2015 Speaking of which, I just got the Shiina Ringo MoRA DVD boxset from Kuboten (knew exactly who it was from as soon as I saw the box). 1
luvdunhill Posted June 3, 2015 Report Posted June 3, 2015 I asked ED and they said they don't have a discography. Lame.
nopants Posted June 3, 2015 Report Posted June 3, 2015 (edited) re: dvd mora- is that a live compilation? I have some cd box set from a few years back that had four of her studio albums. I wish they'd release something similar for Tokyo jihen Edited June 3, 2015 by nopants
Dusty Chalk Posted June 3, 2015 Report Posted June 3, 2015 Nope, it's the same thing in 24/96. And yes, I'd be all over the same thing for Tokyo Jihen. EDIT: Actually, this is a 6-disk set, this page says contents are as follows: Innocence Moratorium + A View of Happiness (single ver.) Winning Strip + Chastity at Midnight Kalk Samen Chestnut Flower + Stem Electric Discharge & Me (2-disc set) A Song of Apples (one song) EDIT #2: Also, does yours make a cute noise and then she says something when you pull the stuff out of the box?
nopants Posted June 4, 2015 Report Posted June 4, 2015 (edited) I'm ashamed to admit I pirated the mora cd box, which is why I'm looking to redeem myself with the hi-res version. The Yggdrasil has enabled me to look into hi-res stuff and it's all pretty interesting. BTW I forgot, there WAS a box set for Tokyo Jihen: http://www.cdjapan.co.jp/product/TOCT-29131 Bit on the pricey side and only redbook. Edited June 4, 2015 by nopants 1
Dusty Chalk Posted June 4, 2015 Report Posted June 4, 2015 There was still another one available (on Yahoo auctions Japan, I think) when I bought mine through Kuboten over a month ago at this point. It wasn't very expensive at all. EDIT: Well that's just silly -- it comes with a USB drive, and they only put one song on it!
nopants Posted June 4, 2015 Report Posted June 4, 2015 So I was meaning to ask, I saw a DVD mora box with a buy it now price of 4500 jpy (also its starting price), but kuboten doesn't seem to allow me to place a "buy it now". Do I have to do something special? I don't want to place a bid and perturb things. The hard disk set seems like a good buy though, considering tokyo jihen is officially disbanded from what I can recall
Dusty Chalk Posted June 4, 2015 Report Posted June 4, 2015 I don't know, you should email them and ask, Craig is pretty responsive. And: yeah, I'll probably still get it, but USB stick is the perfect 24/96 lossless delivery device for large quantities of music, so it just seems silly to come so close, and miss.
blessingx Posted August 1, 2015 Report Posted August 1, 2015 The Band: Capitol Albums 1968-1977 [8 LP Box Set] over at PopMarket
luvdunhill Posted August 31, 2015 Report Posted August 31, 2015 Does anyone know if/when jpc.de has sales, or coupons?
thrice Posted September 2, 2015 Report Posted September 2, 2015 It's going to be hard to resist buying this... I don't even have a vinyl setup anymore... I'd get one going again just for this:http://kingsroadmerch.com/neko-case/view/?id=8236&cid=94 1
