ghost is my favorite phish album. It doesn't have my favorite songs or performances on it, but as a whole its their best studio effort. Lawn Boy and Junta and PoN might have better songs, but the performances are blech, like the first GD album they are all messy.

there used to be a bunch of places around here. it was nice.

I need to find more used shops around here. It was so much easier when I was in school, decade or so back, but I wasn't buying as much music back then.

ah, nice. what are you going to get?

I'm going to keep it under wraps until I do get one. They don't come up too often and I'd rather not be competing with anyone else

I definitely believe it will improve sound quality if at a minimum it no longer skipped on a bunch of my CDs, even when they're pristine.

Well, it's not like I can't afford one, I just don't wanna have to actually buy a new one, y'know?

what is your budget, Fitz?

I wasn't necessarily looking for one, but I'd like to not spend more than $200-$300 should I get a new one. I'm not keen on the alternative route of cheap DVD player + DAC, considering my negative experiences with the cheapies.

yup, i think it's a good investment. maybe you'll be lucky, once the dollar goes completely down the toilet, and some nice european or asian will give you some good money for it :)

I think I'll hang on to this one (and the rest of their DCCs I'll inevitably buy). I was reminded to get The Doors stuff when some clowns on XM Radio were trashing The Doors but thought Amy Winehouse was good :doghuh:

Buying music online is too easy :mikey1:

Meh, I find it easier to get carried away when in an actual store. Online I can keep it in the shopping cart and rethink it later, or compare prices somewhere else. In the store I have the discs in my hand right then, so close to owning them, and much less time to think it over, even though they're likely much more expensive than anywhere online. :palm:
