Wmcmanus Posted October 12, 2013 Report Posted October 12, 2013 $1,995 for the Gemini 2000 and $995 for the Gemini 1000, in case anyone is wondering. http://www.digitalaudioreview.net/2013/10/auralic-go-lifestyle-with-gemini-1000-2000/
HeadphoneAddict Posted October 12, 2013 Report Posted October 12, 2013 I'm here and about to head out to the ballroom floor to check out CanJam with my son.
Voltron Posted October 12, 2013 Report Posted October 12, 2013 (edited) Boy that headphone stand/amp/dac is atrocious. Cheers to Todd & Pete at RMAF -- wish I were hanging with you guys, having beers, and maybe watching the Red Sox kick ass! (Sorry Todd ). Toasting you with a Topless Wytch (c/o Mike Sr. I believe) while working in Mayberry. Cheers! Edited October 12, 2013 by Voltron
blessingx Posted October 13, 2013 Author Report Posted October 13, 2013 Woo Audio goes INSANE? http://feedly.com/k/GVJ5tE
spritzer Posted October 13, 2013 Report Posted October 13, 2013 Expensive equals good. Sprinkle on some DHT's and it is awsome!!!
Augsburger Posted October 13, 2013 Report Posted October 13, 2013 I think I will hold out for the cryo version. Why go insane when you can go uber insane?
blessingx Posted October 13, 2013 Author Report Posted October 13, 2013 More RMAF info here, but was this a really, really quiet year?
justin Posted October 13, 2013 Report Posted October 13, 2013 From what i saw, yes Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk - now Free
aerius Posted October 14, 2013 Report Posted October 14, 2013 Expensive equals good. Sprinkle on some DHT's and it is awsome!!! 6SN7 driving a 300B. That's guaranteed awesome right there! It's like they're not even trying anymore.
tkam Posted October 14, 2013 Report Posted October 14, 2013 Damn $16k, that's nuts. I see there are new Audeze phones. anyone have any thoughts on those?
blessingx Posted October 14, 2013 Author Report Posted October 14, 2013 (edited) Also new Oppo planars... http://www.head-fi.org/t/685704/oppo-pm-1-a-new-planar-magnetic-headphone Edited October 14, 2013 by blessingx
tkam Posted October 14, 2013 Report Posted October 14, 2013 Oppo making headphones.... that could be interesting.
Wmcmanus Posted October 14, 2013 Report Posted October 14, 2013 I giggled when reading that "we'll" be receiving a pair at the "Head-Fi HQ." Somewhere near to his laptop at the breakfast nook?
grawk Posted October 14, 2013 Report Posted October 14, 2013 I thought head-fi hq was amos's house in japan or australia or whafu
roadtonowhere08 Posted October 14, 2013 Report Posted October 14, 2013 Jesus, Jude has passed up The Weather Channel for trying sex up the hopelessly regular. As for Amos, his house is actually on Jude's lap... where he belongs.

This stuff isn't about high quality, it's just about using tubes people know about and can waste an untold amount of money to roll. 1
aerius Posted October 14, 2013 Report Posted October 14, 2013 This stuff isn't about high quality, it's just about using tubes people know about and can waste an untold amount of money to roll. No kidding. The sad part is their $999 WA7 DAC/amp will sound better unless they screwed it up or deliberately crippled it.
nikongod Posted October 14, 2013 Report Posted October 14, 2013 Damn $16k, that's nuts. I see there are new Audeze phones. anyone have any thoughts on those? If you can hold out 9-12 months you can get the LCD-(n+1)
shellylh Posted October 14, 2013 Report Posted October 14, 2013 Woo Audio goes INSANE? http://feedly.com/k/GVJ5tE Wow, that is seriously expensive.
justin Posted October 14, 2013 Report Posted October 14, 2013 Not expensive enough, i told Pete to make quad box monoblocks for $20k Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk - now Free
recstar24 Posted October 15, 2013 Report Posted October 15, 2013 Oppo headphones - legit. I would expect them to be reasonably priced and well built if anything like their universal players.
grawk Posted October 15, 2013 Report Posted October 15, 2013 I would expect them to be oem'd, because building a universal player is nothing like building headphones
cutestory Posted October 15, 2013 Report Posted October 15, 2013 Woo Audio goes INSANE? http://feedly.com/k/GVJ5tE The last pic is the first spec sheet I've ever seen that gives a pounds/channel rating. I mean, I know some manufacturers like to game their specs, but surely no one out there can touch the sheer power of 60 pounds/channel for a headphone amplifier. IS THERE NOTHING MOAR HEAVY OUT THERE? And what's the conversion to furlongs per fortnight? I know we're converting between weight efficiency and speed, but some of you math people can figure it out. Handle it!
