acidbasement Posted December 8, 2016 Report Posted December 8, 2016 Thanks guys. He was an original, and I feel like everyone left the funeral reflecting on their own lives and trying to think of how to be truer to themselves. 2 Quote
HemiSam Posted December 8, 2016 Report Posted December 8, 2016 That's a lovely memory of your friend. My condolences. RIP, Mr. JK. HS Quote

Craig Sawyers Posted December 8, 2016 Report Posted December 8, 2016 In full flight in 1977, when they were in their late 20's, in deep snow in a Canadian sports stadium - the best ever version of Fanfare for the Common Man 2 Quote
Hopstretch Posted December 8, 2016 Report Posted December 8, 2016 The Common Man has had entirely too much say already in 2016 and can get fucked, generally. RIP Greg. 2 Quote
Craig Sawyers Posted December 8, 2016 Report Posted December 8, 2016 (edited) Moog have recreated the Emerson Moog Modular https://www.moogmusic.com/content/moog-modular-synthesizers . They have been paranoid about authenticity - same circuit cards, they trawled the world for obsolete semiconductors, switches and controls to make a thing of great beautu. Keith Emerson had to have a technician touring with the band to limp the old original one along, until he eventually had it rebuilt. A great and fitting tribute to a fine and completely original band. Wish I'd seen them live. 1 minute ago, Hopstretch said: The Common Man has had entirely too much say already in 2016 and can get fucked, generally. RIP Greg. Too damned true, Stretch. TMoney Posted December 8, 2016 Report Posted December 8, 2016 John Glenn... he and the rest of the Mercury/Gemini/Apollo astronauts were my heroes growing up. I met him in person about 10 years ago and he seemed like a wonderful man. RIP. 1 Quote
