Grahame Posted June 25, 2016 Report Posted June 25, 2016 RIP Michael Herr. Read Dispatches after seeing a documentary / Exhibition about Tim Page. http://www.nytimes.com/2016/06/25/arts/michael-herr-author-of-a-vietnam-classic-dies-at-76.html
ironbut Posted June 26, 2016 Report Posted June 26, 2016 RIP Ralph Stanley. Such a legacy for such a humble man! I doubt we'll see his like anymore.
Wmcmanus Posted June 28, 2016 Author Report Posted June 28, 2016 (edited) RIP, Pat Summitt, 64, legendary University of Tennessee women's basketball coach. She was the winningest coach in the history of the game, and a gem of a woman in every way. She suffered from alzheimer's for about 5 years. Sad day.http://www.huffingtonpost.com/entry/pat-summitt-death-sports-world-reactions_us_577278cbe4b0dbb1bbbbe51f?ir=Sports§ion=us_sports&utm_hp_ref=sportshttp://www.huffingtonpost.com/entry/before-pat-summitt-was-a-coach-she-was-a-player_us_5772bc03e4b0d1f85d476907?section= Edited June 28, 2016 by Wmcmanus
skullguise Posted June 28, 2016 Report Posted June 28, 2016 RIP, an amazing woman. Also RIP to Buddy Ryan, who was coaching (not head coach) on two great NFL teams: the Jets that won the Super Bowl with Joe Namath, and the Bears that dominated in 86. Â Rob and Rex are decent defensive coaches, but Buddy was in another class IMO.
Aimless1 Posted June 28, 2016 Report Posted June 28, 2016 RIP Pat Summitt. Â Coaching done right. Â May her legacy endure
skullguise Posted June 29, 2016 Report Posted June 29, 2016 My bad on music history, I had heard his name and never really knew who he was. An amazing resume and history@! RIP Mr. Moore.
ironbut Posted July 8, 2016 Report Posted July 8, 2016 RIP the cops who were shot in the line of duty in Dallas last night and all the folks whose deaths were being protested. And fuck those who believe that you can't or shouldn't sympathize with both! Â 8
Aimless1 Posted July 8, 2016 Report Posted July 8, 2016 Agreed. RIP all those who were murdered. FUCK those trying to make this into a war.  1
Dusty Chalk Posted July 8, 2016 Report Posted July 8, 2016 I, too, hate the escalation of hate. I'm glad they blew him up, I hope he felt it. Oh, wait...
Wmcmanus Posted July 9, 2016 Author Report Posted July 9, 2016 It's a tough day... just found out that one of Matt's best friends and former roommates in Tampa, and someone many of you I know have met and partied with has passed away. Jake Blake was not even 30. I'm completely gutted. I saw it coming based on some of his erratic Facebook posts, that's the worst part. Don't know the circumstances of his death but I have a strong sense that it was self inflicted. He was tortured in many ways in recent years. God rest his soul. One of the good guys. I'm lost for words. https://www.facebook.com/jaggedyer
Craig Sawyers Posted July 9, 2016 Report Posted July 9, 2016 That is really rough. Â That is no age at all, and in such tragic circumstances. Â So sorry for your and Matt's friend Jake, RIP.
