RIP Bart and Bill....

I was watching that 1986 game.  His name will so often be associated with that game and what could have been....but, it was other decisions before that play that helped cause the meltdown.  Pitching decisions left a lot to be desired that day.....

RIP Murray Gell-Mann, the guy who won the (unshared) Nobel Prize for particle physics symmetry and the Quark. A genius from an early age, he won a place at Yale at the age of 15 and graduated at 19. A full Professor at 29.

If growing up in certain parts of the country and you liked cooling off on hot summer days with ice cream at a Friendly’s, you should know its co-founder, Curtis Blake, just died at 102 (his brother, the other co-founder, is still going at 104). Ice cream diet here I come.

When we visited Aiken, SC in the summers after Peter was born, we used to spend a couple of weekends in Myrtle Beach and Peter loved eating at the Friendly's there. I never new their history.

Oh no! This is going to be a tough one for many of us... Dr. John gone at 77. Heart attack. Truly an original. He was a legend. https://www.theadvocate.com/new_orleans/news/article_a962e500-8877-11e9-991d-2f4782c02ae0.html

That's going to be one hell of a funeral procession... they do huge send offs in New Orleans for even half famous musicians. This one will be epic, as it should be.

I listened to him today, like I usually do (Such a Night being the best song of The Last Waltz).  What a shitty day. I’m listening to Gris Gris for the second time today.
