Michelle Trachtenberg, at the age of 39

Foul play is not suspected, as she was recently recipient of a liver transplant and may have been experiencing complications, but an autopsy will be performed

A friend of mine recently was the recipient of a kidney transplant, so this ... makes me nervous.  So far so good, though (for him).

Yeah, saw this earlier while out to dinner.  Sucks.  Was and will remain a huge fan of Buffy and Michelle/Dawn was a big part of the last few years of that show.  39 ain’t no time to go, period.

RIP to my beautiful wife Karen Greenfield.  She passed peacefully overnight, after we all said our goodbyes, as well as having other family and some friends talk to her on speakerphone as well.

Thank you all for your compassion and kind words, and for letting me vent.  Our son Andrew and I will of course go on, but there is already an ache I have, reflected in a large and emptier house.

Please raise a glass at some point for her and our family, and think kindly on a wonderful and beautiful woman.

Sorry to hear Todd, but glad there was an opportunity for goodbyes. I know the near future is going to be very tough for you and Andrew so don't hesitate to reach out to us.

So sorry for your loss, Todd.  Mourn the loss as you are able and I’m so very glad that you and Andrew were able to say goodbye.  Vent here if it helps or you’ve got my actual phone number if you need an ear.

Cherish the life that you had with her, nothing will ever change that.  But don’t spend the rest of yours dwelling on time you didn’t get.

RIP, Karen. My condolences especially to you and your son, Todd. And to other family members, friends, and all those whose life she touched and will miss her too. There is never enough time with those who we love.

RIP Karen. May her memory be a blessing to you and Andrew and your extended family. I will be toasting Karen and your family with a manhattan, my dearly departed mother's favorite cocktail. Like Nate said, call any time if you need an ear on west coast time.
