I will have to make a loaf for him. -- I met him once at one of the bread gatherings that I use to be apart of. Very nice, and really ran the company the way that I think that most should. Voltron Posted February 29, 2024 Report Posted February 29, 2024 Richard Lewis is dead at 76 after battling Parkinsons for several years. He looked terribly I'll the last couple of seasons of Curb but I'm so glad he had that vehicle for the last phase of his career. 😢 RIP to a comedy legend. https://variety.com/2024/tv/news/richard-lewis-dead-comedian-curb-your-enthusiasm-1235925744/amp/ 10 Quote

jpelg Posted March 3, 2024 Report Posted March 3, 2024 I just learned today that Hinton Battle passed in January. Among many roles of note, he was the original Scarecrow in The Wiz, and more recently the slick, dancing demon (and choreographer) in the Once More With Feeling episode of Buffy the Vampire Slayer. The marquee lights of Broadway will dim on March 12th in his honor. 7 Quote

Dusty Chalk Posted March 27, 2024 Report Posted March 27, 2024 RIP the six road maintenance guys who were on the Francis Scott Key Bridge when it collapsed early this morning. Cold water, the drop, as well as the bridge collapse itself...all indications are that they did not survive. 9 Quote
Voltron Posted March 27, 2024 Report Posted March 27, 2024 RIP Richard Serra. Love his work. I was very sad when they removed his sculpture from SFMOMA in the room that they had built around it specially. 1 Quote

At least the biggie, Sequence, is still close as it moved from Palo Alto (Stanford's Cantor Center) to SFMOMA and then back to Palo Alto. Somewhere I have a photo of young Esmé, with wide eyes, getting lost in the light & shadows. 1 Quote

blessingx Posted April 3, 2024 Report Posted April 3, 2024 (edited) Also Sadat, though honestly, I'm still thinking of Jacqueline Bisset. EDIT: Just going through his IMDB page... Bonanza, Alias Smith and Jones (a Head-Case favorite!), Mod Squad, Love American Style, Good Times, Six Million Dollar Man, Police Story, Roots, etc. Man, he was everywhere.
