HemiSam Posted May 27, 2019 Report Posted May 27, 2019 Bart Starr....wow. An amazing quarterback and all around player. Pads weren't all that great back then.... RIP, sir. RIP, Mr. Buckner. HS Quote
skullguise Posted May 27, 2019 Report Posted May 27, 2019 RIP Bart and Bill.... I was watching that 1986 game. His name will so often be associated with that game and what could have been....but, it was other decisions before that play that helped cause the meltdown. Pitching decisions left a lot to be desired that day..... Quote

blessingx Posted June 4, 2019 Report Posted June 4, 2019 If growing up in certain parts of the country and you liked cooling off on hot summer days with ice cream at a Friendly’s, you should know its co-founder, Curtis Blake, just died at 102 (his brother, the other co-founder, is still going at 104). Ice cream diet here I come. https://www.nytimes.com/2019/05/30/obituaries/curtis-blake-dies.html?smid=nytcore-ios-share 2 1 3 Quote

Wmcmanus Posted June 6, 2019 Author Report Posted June 6, 2019 (edited) Oh no! This is going to be a tough one for many of us... Dr. John gone at 77. Heart attack. Truly an original. He was a legend. https://www.theadvocate.com/new_orleans/news/article_a962e500-8877-11e9-991d-2f4782c02ae0.html That's going to be one hell of a funeral procession... they do huge send offs in New Orleans for even half famous musicians. This one will be epic, as it should be. Edited June 6, 2019 by Wmcmanus 2 Quote
