Pars Posted August 26, 2018 Report Posted August 26, 2018 (edited) RIP John McCain. I didn't agree with him on a lot of issues, but I never questioned his patriotism nor his integrity. Qualities sadly lacking in today's clusterfuck. Edited August 26, 2018 by Pars 3
catscratch Posted August 26, 2018 Report Posted August 26, 2018 RIP McCain. One less good man in Washington, now.
skullguise Posted August 26, 2018 Report Posted August 26, 2018 RIP Senator McCain....agreed with sentiments above.....
swt61 Posted August 26, 2018 Report Posted August 26, 2018 Agree with above. RIP Senator McCain. Sadly, without John around, Lindsey Graham seems to be fully willing to swallow every bit of Orange penis wagged in front of his face. 2
HemiSam Posted August 26, 2018 Report Posted August 26, 2018 Wow. Time marches on ruthlessly... Ed King...Godspeed, sir. Just watched a great documentary on the band that included interviews with Ed. Playing on Showtime if memory serves me. Worth a watch if you are so inclined. RIP, Senator McCain. You carved your own path and seemed to always be true to yourself. This political environment could use more like you... HS
mikeymad Posted August 26, 2018 Report Posted August 26, 2018 And to Neil Simon... RIP. You have made me laugh for as long as I can remember. 1
skullguise Posted August 26, 2018 Report Posted August 26, 2018 RIP Neil Simon.....indeed, one of the greats of comedy writing.....
mikeymad Posted September 5, 2018 Report Posted September 5, 2018 RIP Claire Wineland... skullguise Posted September 5, 2018 Report Posted September 5, 2018 RIP Claire....such a beautiful woman with an incredible message. One of our family friends has two kids with CF, and some great strides have been made, with one type of CF potentially having a cure! Unfortunately, our friends' kids have a different type. But they are both coping, with meds, exercise, diet changes, etc. Yet they still face many of the same challenges this young lady faced. They are both in college and doing as well as possible. Wishing all the best to her family, friends, and all those impacted by CF in some way or another.
Pars Posted September 5, 2018 Report Posted September 5, 2018 Yes, RIP Claire! I just read more about her this morning and it brought me to tears. She must have been a lovely person! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
ironbut Posted September 5, 2018 Report Posted September 5, 2018 RIP Claire I used to work with a number of CF individuals and it is a poorly understood and often overlooked condition.
Grahame Posted September 6, 2018 Report Posted September 6, 2018 (edited) RIP Burt Reynolds ... https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-45441860 Obituary https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-38589977 "That" centerfold .... https://www.bbc.com/news/magazine-17896980 Edited September 6, 2018 by Grahame
TMoney Posted September 6, 2018 Report Posted September 6, 2018 RIP, Burt. He sure made some amazing movies.
mikeymad Posted September 6, 2018 Report Posted September 6, 2018 RIP 'Hooper' and 'The Bandit'. You entertained me growing up..
Hopstretch Posted September 7, 2018 Report Posted September 7, 2018 Man, RIP Burt. I remember so vividly the late '70s kids' birthday parties where the Dad would rent a projector and pin a sheet to the wall and you knew you were going to get either "Smokey and the Bandit" or "Every Which Way but Loose." Either way the film would always break in the middle and there'd be a lot of cursing and rethreading while we all rioted around high on cake and Fanta Grape. Good times. 5
Craig Sawyers Posted September 7, 2018 Report Posted September 7, 2018 RIP Burt. Somehow it seems those films were so recent, Stretch.
Craig Sawyers Posted September 7, 2018 Report Posted September 7, 2018 That was totally priceless thanks Stretch!
