Sechtdamon Posted July 2, 2018 Report Posted July 2, 2018 (edited) Today I found out on the news, 2 little girl found dead in Turkey after have been missing for 2-3 week. 8 years old Eylül and 3,5 years old Leyla... 8 years of Eylül's killer raped and strangled 2 dogs in his past, found guilty and released... His latest victim is Eylül. FFS they fucked up the country in every possible way. I literally cried in my room after I saw their pictures. Edited July 2, 2018 by Sechtdamon 5
jose Posted July 2, 2018 Report Posted July 2, 2018 I´m so sorry... in all places there are monsters unfortunately. Descansen en Paz
skullguise Posted July 2, 2018 Report Posted July 2, 2018 (edited) That is just fucking horrible! We have some of this in the US too, it absolutely sucks anywhere/anytime....quick slow and painful death is required for this asshat IMO. Edited July 2, 2018 by skullguise
Craig Sawyers Posted July 3, 2018 Report Posted July 3, 2018 That is truly shocking, even in a world of shocking things. I hope prison in Turkey is one unremitting horror story for the monstrous bastard. Regular prisoners usually have a way of dealing with child rapists and killers.
Knuckledragger Posted July 7, 2018 Report Posted July 7, 2018 RIP Steve Ditko. Reclusive, religious, and the inspiration to several generations that followed him with his psychedelic artwork. 1
Craig Sawyers Posted July 7, 2018 Report Posted July 7, 2018 Wow - just been reading up about Ditko. What a guy - creator of Spiderman - RIP
skullguise Posted July 7, 2018 Report Posted July 7, 2018 RIP Steve Ditko. Hadn't heard of many of the characters he created!
ironbut Posted July 10, 2018 Report Posted July 10, 2018 RIP Sgt. Saman Kunan who died during the rescue of the 12 soccer players and coach from those flooded caves. What an awful way to go! But in the end, what a wonderful outcome when the last of the trapped were freed and lifted off to the hospital! 5 2
Sechtdamon Posted July 25, 2018 Report Posted July 25, 2018 RIP who died in Greece during forest fire. Trully awful... 5
ironbut Posted July 25, 2018 Report Posted July 25, 2018 That was truly horrific! RIP Sergio Marchionne. I will miss seeing him in the Ferrari paddock.
HemiSam Posted July 26, 2018 Report Posted July 26, 2018 RIP to the victims in Greece. Godspeed, Sergio... HS
HemiSam Posted August 6, 2018 Report Posted August 6, 2018 RIP Joël Robuchon. When Michelin mourns, you did it well... HS
Hopstretch Posted August 7, 2018 Report Posted August 7, 2018 https://www.nytimes.com/2018/08/06/obituaries/joel-robuchon-a-french-chef-festooned-with-stars-is-dead-at-73.html Oh man. Have never eaten better than at his Atelier in London. Checked my food diary (super wanky, I know) and was there 15 times between 2014 and 2017. Wine bill of a small country's GDP. Godspeed sir! 1
Craig Sawyers Posted August 15, 2018 Report Posted August 15, 2018 RIP all those dead in the horrific bridge collapse in Genoa, Italy https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-45183624 4
Wmcmanus Posted August 15, 2018 Author Report Posted August 15, 2018 Horrifying. I have driven on that bridge. What a terrible way to go.
Torpedo Posted August 15, 2018 Report Posted August 15, 2018 My brother and sister in law weren't in that bridge for a delay shopping with a friend. Otherwise their plan was crossing it at the time it happened. RIP all the victims, very sorry for their families and friends. Definitely a horrible way to go, Wayne.
Voltron Posted August 15, 2018 Report Posted August 15, 2018 That is very scary, Antonio, but I am so glad to hear they are alright and avoided that fate. RIP to Chef Joel and the bridge victims. ?
ironbut Posted August 15, 2018 Report Posted August 15, 2018 RIP to the bridge victims and to all those who have lost their lives in this terrible season of forest fires. Tragic
purk Posted August 15, 2018 Report Posted August 15, 2018 sad for those who have perished on that bridge in Italy. I'm sure Nate will say the same thing but back in 1960's seismic or lateral loads were really an afterthought in most structural design elements. Those concrete columns/frames look rather small compared to what we have now given the same loading conditions.
