Grahame Posted January 11, 2018 Report Posted January 11, 2018 Motorhead guitarist 'Fast' Eddie Clarke dies at 67 http://www.bbc.com/news/entertainment-arts-42650076 RIP Eddie. The "classic" Motorhead lineup is reunited again.
skullguise Posted January 12, 2018 Report Posted January 12, 2018 RIP Eddie.....can't believe they are all gone.....
Hopstretch Posted January 15, 2018 Report Posted January 15, 2018 Dolores O’Riordan gone at just 46, ridiculous. [emoji20] 4
Hopstretch Posted January 15, 2018 Report Posted January 15, 2018 Guess “When You’re Gone” might be more apropos, sadly? Always loved her accent and distinctiveness.
TMoney Posted January 15, 2018 Report Posted January 15, 2018 Very sad to hear the news. I was a big fan and 46 is far too young. RIP.
robm321 Posted January 15, 2018 Report Posted January 15, 2018 As a 47 year old, 46 is definitely too young. Sad, RIP Dolores O’Riordan.
HemiSam Posted January 15, 2018 Report Posted January 15, 2018 Wow... Too much work after year-end and I've been missing the passing of some exceptional people. RIP, Dolores and Eddie. Godspeed Dan Gurney... What an exceptional man, racer and American... http://autoweek.com/article/racing/dan-gurney-1931-2018 HS 1
skullguise Posted January 15, 2018 Report Posted January 15, 2018 RIP Dolores, indeed way too young......
ironbut Posted January 15, 2018 Report Posted January 15, 2018 (edited) Wow! RIP Dan Gurney. A racing legend if ever there was one. Maybe I'm a little biased (being American) but as the saying goes, "they don't make 'em like that anymore!" The world turns a little slower without him to set the pace! Craig Sawyers Posted January 16, 2018 Report Posted January 16, 2018 Hardly know how to start with the RIP's, they have been coming so thick and fast, but Dolores, oh dear.
Wmcmanus Posted January 17, 2018 Author Report Posted January 17, 2018 (edited) Jo Jo White, 71. RIP. He was an athlete who I admired and by all accounts a good man as well. skullguise Posted January 18, 2018 Report Posted January 18, 2018 RIP Jo Jo, a good memory of some of my early years....Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD 1
ironbut Posted January 18, 2018 Report Posted January 18, 2018 RIP Jo Jo! I haven't thought about that great Celtics team in a long time. I was a big fan back in the day and was among those that sat glued to the tv in that triple overtime game 5! When I saw Jo Jo sitting on the floor during some free throws, I learned what the meaning of 'heart" was! 2
Grahame Posted January 19, 2018 Report Posted January 19, 2018 RIP Peter Wyngarde http://www.bbc.com/news/entertainment-arts-42731220 "A bit too early for coffee ... Craig Sawyers Posted January 19, 2018 Report Posted January 19, 2018 RIP Peter W. Jason King was a must-watch back in the day. Interesting and strange guy with a largely fictitious past, the story of which he changed several times over his life. There is even uncertainty when he was born and where, what his parents did, or even what his birth name was - the truth of which he carries with him and may never be known with anything remotely certain. They don't make them like that anymore!
skullguise Posted January 19, 2018 Report Posted January 19, 2018 Had only heard of him, didn't know much of anything.....quite the character! RIP Peter W.
HemiSam Posted January 21, 2018 Report Posted January 21, 2018 RIP Jo Jo and Peter. The sands keep dropping... HS
TMoney Posted January 23, 2018 Report Posted January 23, 2018 RIP Ursula K. Le Guin. Really liked some of her books. She will be missed. https://www.nytimes.com/2018/01/23/obituaries/ursula-k-le-guin-acclaimed-for-her-fantasy-fiction-is-dead-at-88.html 2
MoonShine Posted January 23, 2018 Report Posted January 23, 2018 Oh man, RIP Ursula. Such a lovely person. I always enjoyed going up to see her at Powell's for book signings and such. 1
Craig Sawyers Posted January 24, 2018 Report Posted January 24, 2018 Oh wow - I have read so many of her books. RIP Ursula
mikeymad Posted January 24, 2018 Report Posted January 24, 2018 http://www.radiolab.org/story/voice-your-head-tribute-joe-frank/ RIP Joe Frank - music and spoken work magic.. (I didn't find him until after this announcement - worth seeking out). Reminds me a lot of Ken Nordine's work as well.
Voltron Posted January 24, 2018 Report Posted January 24, 2018 RIP Hugh Masekela.☹️ https://www.google.com/amp/s/mobile.nytimes.com/2018/01/23/obituaries/hugh-masekela-dies.amp.html 1
