The Monkey
I don't really have much of a problem with that but it's some of the posters that piss me off that need to learn to separate fact from opinion and vice versa. Is it that fucking hard? This problem is everywhere (interwebs and real life) and I don't get it either. It shouldn't be that hard.
roadtonowhere08
The popular culture pushed by pervasive entertainment norms drone on that opinions are just as important as fact. People are more concerned with being heard than being objectively correct, because shooting from the hip is easier and more fun than due diligence. kevin gilmore
Schiit posted pictures of the Ragnarok. Really nice stuff. Obviously built to be repairable. And a layout that makes sense. Cavalli pictures... even ones the size Schitt posted... Never going to happen.
spritzer
It's nice to see that they are trying to keep people from the truth but the cat is already out of the bag. The more threads that are locked, the worse it gets. Birgir, can you tell us more of this ? I wonder what changes happened in the low impedance version made it worse ? As with any OTL amp the output impedance is governed by the tube used. No good way around that except adding more tubes in parallel. What Craig did was mess with the feedback which is dumb thing to do as it completely changes the amp and thus how it sounds. The change was also far from subtle, more akin to a proverbial sledgehammer.

People are more concerned with being heard than being objectively correct, because shooting from the hip is easier and more fun than due diligence. that and the fact that many don't even know what objective means.... when I tried to explain the concept I always get comments like "i heard the difference, so it's objective" or "people are hearing the difference, so it must be objective." The idea that what you hear is the result of your brain's processing of the information that you have received from your body (thus highly affected by your personal experience/belief and is highly subjective) is way too complicated and sophisticated for many. Pars
Keeping on insisting that you will not provide internal photos will only fan the flames and make people think something is being hidden (it is ). Particularly since many others do provide porn shots without being asked for them. Hell, Ray even had internal shots on his website.

That clear some of my confusions, I always thought the difference in sound between the two was from impedance mismatching with the headphones. He-he, har-de-har, LOOKY! spurt, fizzle, mozfeet outputz. Choke! spuzzle.... Nothing wrong with the transistors though I always prefer BJT's. How they are mounted is the real problem. Reminds me of a crappy Shangling amp I once serviced. Nobody had given servicing any thought on that amp either...

wink
"Be fun to do a review on the new Monsanto Headphone amp for April 1st." How about one on the new "Dupont Freon" amp that sounds cold, but significantly adds to global warming? tjkurita
I kind of like thelostmidrange's comment! He seems to overthink things, but at least he really, really, thought about it. Also, I like his taste in thinkers of the past, even if he misspelled Nietzsche!
