blessingx Posted July 30, 2013 Report Posted July 30, 2013 Don't see much coverage around since it was released a few days ago, but the price is right for a lot of uses. Anyone heard anything pro/con? http://www.emotivapro.com/products/stealth-dc-1-a
Dusty Chalk Posted July 30, 2013 Report Posted July 30, 2013 I saw its existence, that's about all I can say. If I had the dosh, it'd be worth trying.
Dusty Chalk Posted July 30, 2013 Report Posted July 30, 2013 Batman does not listen to music, much less on headphones -- it would prevent him from hearing Alfred sneaking up on him.
Emooze Posted July 30, 2013 Report Posted July 30, 2013 First look: not very stealth, those flat faces and lots of nooks and crannies will make it stand out with radar. Sexy though...
Dusty Chalk Posted July 31, 2013 Report Posted July 31, 2013 Lollers, that's particularly funneh coming from you.
shellylh Posted July 31, 2013 Report Posted July 31, 2013 Looks pretty nice. I probably would've tried one out for use on the desktop but now that I have the DAC2, I am content.
The Monkey Posted July 31, 2013 Report Posted July 31, 2013 Shelly, you got a Benchmark DAC2? Tell me more. And this Emotiva DAC has my interest, of course.
postjack Posted July 31, 2013 Report Posted July 31, 2013 Shelly, you got a Benchmark DAC2? Tell me more. And this Emotiva DAC has my interest, of course. Yes tell us more about the DAC2 please.
shellylh Posted July 31, 2013 Report Posted July 31, 2013 Yes, the Benchmark DAC2. I probably should have stated that since there are probably a large number of DACs called "DAC2". It is small and black and sounds good and plays hi-res stuffs. I like it. Haven't done any comparisons with the PWD mkii. I think I may slightly prefer the PWD mkii but not positive. More science is needed.
nopants Posted August 12, 2013 Report Posted August 12, 2013 I ended up picking up a DA11 at the same price as the stealth, which was my second choice. I believe the stealth uses two AD1955's if I'm not mistaken, same chip in the DA11. Curious to see how the implementation differs.
Aura Posted August 20, 2013 Report Posted August 20, 2013 I can't find shit on this anywhere but Emotiva's own forums. And even then, it's mostly getting compared to just the XDA-2. At least people seem to think it's worth the extra $$$.
