I just watched the final scene of the Sopranos that Ric posted (for the 1000th time) and not to be too melodramatic about it or go off on a tangent, but it Gandolfini's death somehow for me really brings out the sadness in that beautiful sequence.

I haven't seen it since the original airing, but does the ending also seem much less nebulous now?

No, unfortunately, it doesn't. 

 

Either way, if/when I go to Italy, I'll be sure to take a first aid kit with me.

laughing at the thought of how quickly you'd get pounced on trying to take an AED onto a plane...We used to have a test mode in the x-ray machine that would display grenades & pipe bombs to keep you on your toes...No way you'd get through with that w/o a thorough prodding/probing...

I may have to hit up HBOGo to rewatch the last episode of The Sopranos...
