acidbasement Posted August 30, 2013 Report Posted August 30, 2013 This really fucking sucks. For a government that claims to be conservative, they're really bad at it unless you happen to be an oil company. A bunch of my favourite bands have been on Facebook today saying that they won't be able to tour Canada again as a result of these new rules. Quote

roadtonowhere08 Posted August 30, 2013 Report Posted August 30, 2013 (edited) This really fucking sucks. For a government that claims to be conservative, they're really bad at it unless you happen to be an oil company. A bunch of my favourite bands have been on Facebook today saying that they won't be able to tour Canada again as a result of these new rules. Yep, saw this on Moonsorrow's FB page. So... a good idea to raise revenue is to discourage pretty much the only source of good music these days, eh? Oh, I see... a thinly veiled nationalistic slant. And when nobody can afford to come over and headline smaller venues and have the local bands open for them, how does this help the locals, exactly? Morons. Unfortunately, it's not just Canada. I read I think it was Riverside's comments a while ago that touring the US is currently cost prohibitive in part because of the insane fees and licences involved. Such bullshit. We should be PAYING these people to come over, because it will help the damn economy and put more people to work. Jesus! I should run for President... Edited August 30, 2013 by roadtonowhere08 Quote

mikeymad Posted August 30, 2013 Report Posted August 30, 2013 Have to say, all I thought about was 'oh hey look, Keiko is playing on the 27th' Quote
Augsburger Posted August 30, 2013 Report Posted August 30, 2013 Funny, I was thinking the same thing. Quote

Dusty Chalk Posted August 31, 2013 Report Posted August 31, 2013 What is that, anyone? What kind of ammo is that? That seems to be an inordinately long shell... Quote
Dusty Chalk Posted August 31, 2013 Report Posted August 31, 2013 Ah, I was trying to put my finger on "what's wrong with this picture" -- looks like sniper ammo, but it's a gun. Also, blade needs a sheath...or to be taken off entirely. Not the sort of gun one needs for close-up work. Quote
Knuckledragger Posted August 31, 2013 Author Report Posted August 31, 2013 My main question is it the inclusion of two barrels in a 6-shot revolver. It fires two rounds at once, thrice over, and then needs to be reloaded? Quote
Dusty Chalk Posted August 31, 2013 Report Posted August 31, 2013 Oh, man, I hadn't even noticed that. Apparently so, yes. Although...two shells of .45-70? That thing would recooooiiiil... Also, how can you think of questions like that when boobies? This edition of rec.misc.pics brought to you by the after midnight edition of Knucks'* slower forum. Pronounced, nuh-xez Quote
Dusty Chalk Posted August 31, 2013 Report Posted August 31, 2013 That's a big hat. Wait, she's a vampire, she needs a big hat.WHY DIDN'T ANY OTHER VAMPIRE IN THE HISTORY OF VAMPIRES EVER THINK OF THIS?!?!? BIG, FLOPPY HAT == NOT DEATH! Quote
