JBLoudG20 Posted January 8, 2008 Report Posted January 8, 2008 bah0r. Eh, If I wasn't getting such a crazy discount I'd be a little upset by now.
Dusty Chalk Posted January 8, 2008 Report Posted January 8, 2008 Well it seems like my audio path is leading me straight into speakers. Any other recommendations for speakers I have to hear would be appreciated. Care to recap, what is your shortlist as of now? I still need to hear the Acoustic Zen Adagios myself. I'd also go looking at some Aurum Cantus full rangers. And don't forget those ones that tkam ended up buying.
tkam Posted January 8, 2008 Report Posted January 8, 2008 Well it seems like my audio path is leading me straight into speakers. Any other recommendations for speakers I have to hear would be appreciated. Still with the same $4-$5k budget as before? In that case I'd highly recommend the Salk Sound HT3 or if you can find them used the Legacy Audio Focus. You could also check out Selah Audio .
tkam Posted January 14, 2008 Report Posted January 14, 2008 You should also seriously consider these: http://buy.audiogon.com/cgia/cls.pl?spkrfull&1205299573 For that price those speakers are an amazing deal.
laxx Posted January 14, 2008 Report Posted January 14, 2008 I saw those the other day. They're huge depth wise.
Dusty Chalk Posted January 14, 2008 Report Posted January 14, 2008 Care to recap, what is your shortlist as of now?Bump.
deepak Posted January 16, 2008 Author Report Posted January 16, 2008 Bump. I don't really have a list anymore. I do want to hear some Usher speakers.
aerius Posted January 16, 2008 Report Posted January 16, 2008 what happened to the Avantgard Duos? He ate them, and they tasted nothing like chicken.
deepak Posted January 16, 2008 Author Report Posted January 16, 2008 Oh yes and the Living Voice speakers. I've heard the Duos in enough setups for now
Dusty Chalk Posted January 16, 2008 Report Posted January 16, 2008 I don't really have a list anymore. Focal and Dali both have speakers at most major price points that are competitive. Aurum Cantus also interests me. I'd also give the Quad L or L2 series a listen.
