ironbut Posted February 24, 2020 Author Report Posted February 24, 2020 Yup! I'm totally excited! Spent the off season watching all kinds of F1 fluff to stave off withdrawal. 1
ironbut Posted March 30, 2020 Author Report Posted March 30, 2020 (edited) The F1 teams have applied their prodigious technical and manufacturing potential to help with one of the major issues with saving critical Covid19 patients. And if there is one thing these guys can do, it's produce flawless designs and get them where they're needed in a hurry! https://www.espn.com/f1/story/_/id/28969505/mercedes-f1-team-helps-create-breathing-aid-coronavirus-patients Edited March 30, 2020 by ironbut 2
ironbut Posted April 5, 2020 Author Report Posted April 5, 2020 If any of you guys are jonesing for an F1 race, here's a favorite of mine. 1986 Australian GP in Adelaide was the final race that year and the points were tight. I used to have this race on video tape but it was lost decades ago. YouTube to the rescue! 2
SeaWolf Posted April 5, 2020 Report Posted April 5, 2020 It's such a shame this year looked like it was going to be so interesting. 2
robm321 Posted April 5, 2020 Report Posted April 5, 2020 Thanks for the '86 replay. Will definitely watch.

emelius Posted June 30, 2020 Report Posted June 30, 2020 https://www.twitch.tv/videos/655375781 Lando's usually playing COD on his stream, but he live streamed some F3 testing at Silverstone a couple weeks ago that was pretty interesting.... https://www.twitch.tv/charlesleclerc & https://www.twitch.tv/GR63 are great, too...but Lando is the most active...
ironbut Posted June 30, 2020 Author Report Posted June 30, 2020 Speaking of Chris Harris,.. This one's for you Mikey 2
mikeymad Posted June 30, 2020 Report Posted June 30, 2020 (edited) Mine kind of sounds like that - but for the wrong reasons..😁 Ed: but to see the falcon cut through Eau Rouge and Raidillon is pretty cool. Edited June 30, 2020 by mikeymad 1 1
ironbut Posted July 6, 2020 Author Report Posted July 6, 2020 Austria 1 was wild and wooly! I wouldn't say it said much about what to expect during the rest of the 2020 season, but very entertaining (and a great diversion)! 1
emelius Posted July 8, 2020 Report Posted July 8, 2020 Alonso to Renault for '21 expected to be announced later today...
Torpedo Posted July 8, 2020 Report Posted July 8, 2020 ^There's been a lot of gossip about that for the last few days. We'll see, I'm highly skeptic that Renault would pay Alonso's fee, besides they were able to offer a competitive car he finds interesting to drive.
emelius Posted July 8, 2020 Report Posted July 8, 2020 I'd rather see an Alonso/Vettel/? Ferrari IndyCar team:)...but life's not fair...
Torpedo Posted July 8, 2020 Report Posted July 8, 2020 Amazing. What car will be driving Vettel next season?
emelius Posted August 21, 2020 Report Posted August 21, 2020 ^sold to Dorilton Capital... https://www.espn.com/f1/story/_/id/29708742/us-based-dorilton-capital-buys-williams-f1-team wonder if they'll try to bring in American drivers...the only thing worse for George Russell would be if Williams kept him...man needs a car...
ironbut Posted August 22, 2020 Author Report Posted August 22, 2020 Press seems to regard the sale as a plus for Williams but I'll wait and see. Russell deserves a real ride and given the shuffling this year, I like his chances.
