mikeymad Posted May 26, 2015 Report Posted May 26, 2015 Enjoyed the race - sad at the result... oh well.. hate for driver to suffer for team call... 1
Grahame Posted May 27, 2015 Report Posted May 27, 2015 Lewis Doesn't seem to be suffering http://fashion.telegraph.co.uk/columns/bibby-sowray/TMG11629598/Meet-Lewis-Hamiltons-Monaco-model-crew.html
ironbut Posted May 27, 2015 Author Report Posted May 27, 2015 Yeah, poor Lewis! He just has to tell himself, "It's only a job". I always enjoy Monaco. Usually not as much of a race with the other drivers/teams as with themselves.
mikeymad Posted July 11, 2015 Report Posted July 11, 2015 Catching up on the British Grand Prix. Very British and good GP... Happy the Brit came out on top..... nice race. sorry for the Williams boys....
ironbut Posted July 11, 2015 Author Report Posted July 11, 2015 Agreed Mikey! Regarding Williams, just like my chess teacher used to say,.. "You have to win three times, the opening (start), the middle game and the ending." Now that they know they can get pole, they need to remember how to win the race. I don't think that should take very long. 1
ironbut Posted July 19, 2015 Author Report Posted July 19, 2015 Friday Jules Bianchi passed away. Very, very sad that such a young talented guy should have to die when so many old fuck heads live on. The world that was important to him said goodbye; http://blackflag.jalopnik.com/motorsports-mourns-the-loss-of-formula-one-driver-jules-1718778239
mikeymad Posted July 19, 2015 Report Posted July 19, 2015 Oh that is sad. I liked him, and to watch him race - RIP
mikeymad Posted July 30, 2015 Report Posted July 30, 2015 Finished the Hungary Gran Prix... up and down race. but the German on top in the Italian car - I have grown to like Seb more and more as he drives for Ferrari. He seemed so cold under Red Bull - but lots of emotion now. Lots of front wings in the way of other drivers. ...and Bianchi tributes... 1

He seemed so cold under Red Bull - but lots of emotion now. Lots of front wings in the way of other drivers. ...and Bianchi tributes... Couldn't agree more on Seb, Mikey. He seemed like just another German cold fish before Ferrari. Somehow, this seems to be home for him, and his emotion, win or lose, reflects it. I still don't think they have the car to beat the Mercedes consistently, but this year there will be certain tracks and even certain races where I think the Italians will shine. And that keeps it from being a boring lopsided season. And people will keep crashing into other people. So cool.
ironbut Posted July 30, 2015 Author Report Posted July 30, 2015 I enjoyed that race. Lots of crazy stuff and in the end, whoever made the least number of mistakes won. I agree with you both. Vettel is learning to smell those roses and really, what's not to enjoy. I'm still bummed at the lack of Monza this year but Spa's coming up and I've always loved it. For anyone who wasn't following F1 at the time, here's a video of one of the crazier Belgium GP's. 1998 I remember it like it was yesterday.
ironbut Posted August 25, 2015 Author Report Posted August 25, 2015 Here's a nice ESPN article I stumbled across,.. kind of a love letter to eau- Rouge.http://www.espn.co.uk/f1/story/_/id/13499727/kate-walker-belgium-grand-prix-magical-eau-rouge
naamanf Posted October 22, 2015 Report Posted October 22, 2015 Looking to be a wet weekend at F1 On the plus side we scored a VIP skybox for Saturday to watch qualifying and Sunday should be dry. It better be, don't want to watch Elton John being all soggy. 3
luvdunhill Posted October 22, 2015 Report Posted October 22, 2015 Cool, saw all the advertisements near the airport when I flew out this week.
ironbut Posted October 22, 2015 Author Report Posted October 22, 2015 Skybox!Qualifying in the wet is always some crazy shit!If it's sunny on Sunday, bring your Stetson and sunscreen!I'm green with envy naamanf!Enjoy!
Absorbine_Sr Posted October 22, 2015 Report Posted October 22, 2015 Tell Hamilton to slow down a few tenths to give Vettel a chance. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
naamanf Posted October 24, 2015 Report Posted October 24, 2015 Table next to mine at Flemmings. Guy named Bernie.
ironbut Posted October 24, 2015 Author Report Posted October 24, 2015 I don't always agree with the way he runs his part of F1, but I gotta admit, that old fucker sure knows how to live!Kinda seems like you do too naamannf.
