I'm not sure how software can span air gaps, but I do understand that what I was talking about wasn't RAID. More RAID-ish. RAID-esque. Vaguely RAID-y. I just wrote a whole description and realized, you know, if this hasn't been done, it's a business idea, and I should probably protect it, first. So I deleted it. Need to investigate further.
