Wireless SPDIF?

Hi,

Basically I want this:

but without the dac. I want to send the output from my oppo wireless to any one of the DACS that may be across the other side of the room. Maybe radio shack has something, figured I'd ask if anyone used such a device.

Funny you asked that, I had searched on this idea maybe a month or so ago.  I had bookmarked an old link I found, hope it helps.

I have a D2 and it is an excellent DAC.  The wireless S/PDIF output is MUCH better than the quality of my airport express's optical out, and the analog output beats the crap out of the Airport Express as well.  I know it's expensive if you don't need the DAC part, but I'm very happy with it.  

 

I've got the transmitter hooked up to my retina Macbook upstairs, and the receiver in the basement is hooked up via optical into my Perfectwave DAC and analog out into my Eddie Current ZDT.  I use Apple Remote to control the music in iTunes on my Macbook, and and it's easier to use than the PS Audio Bridge (and almost as good).

Thanks Larry. I am sure it is a great sounding and working piece of kit, its just a lot of cash for the one specific purpose I need it for.

I may just get one of those compositor video transmitters, by all accounts the bandwidth should be fine and they are rated at 75 ohms.
