deepak Posted January 30, 2007 Report Posted January 30, 2007 http://halo22.nin.com/ Download the 720p or 1080p if your computer can handle it. $14 for DVD on amazon, $17.50 for HD-DVD or Blue-Ray.
deepak Posted January 30, 2007 Author Report Posted January 30, 2007 The entire thing could suck, but that trailer is awesome.
deepak Posted January 30, 2007 Author Report Posted January 30, 2007 He wishes Pink Floyd would get back together and perform Animals live
humanflyz Posted January 30, 2007 Report Posted January 30, 2007 He wishes Pink Floyd would get back together and perform Animals live Hell yeah I do. But this is the wrong thread because usually the "what are you listening to" thread is always the first one in the music section, so I just posted it out of habit.
postjack Posted February 2, 2007 Report Posted February 2, 2007 If you didn't care what happened to me...
en480c4 Posted February 2, 2007 Report Posted February 2, 2007 The And All That Could Have Been concert DVD kicked all sorts of ass, so I'm definitely looking forward to this.
deepak Posted February 27, 2007 Author Report Posted February 27, 2007 I'm going to Best Buy to grab the DVD. Shit I can't wait, wish I had a HD player.
tkam Posted February 27, 2007 Report Posted February 27, 2007 Let us know how it is. If it's good I guess I'll pick up the hd-dvd or blu-ray version at some point.
humanflyz Posted February 27, 2007 Report Posted February 27, 2007 Hmm, this might be worth buying the HD-DVD player add-on for my Xbox 360.
deepak Posted February 28, 2007 Author Report Posted February 28, 2007 At home now. Brief impressions: Nice selection of tracks. Not really a greatest hits list which is good (I don't really like NIN singles, too pop-sounding) Performances are energetic Visual effects are sweet Can't judge sound quality since my bookshelf speakers aren't that great and I can't turn them up at this hour Video quality of the DVD is pretty nice. Upsampled to 1080p on my HTPC with FFDShow filters.
en480c4 Posted February 28, 2007 Report Posted February 28, 2007 I jumped around a bit right after work and listened to 5 or 6 tracks. I'll agree that it's a good mix of material from older albums and With Teeth. As always, visuals are pretty impressive throughout the show with some impressive effects and lighting. SQ sounded good through my modest HT rig at low to medium volume levels. The mix sounds nice with minimal crowd noise, and they did some interesting things with different arrangements of some of the songs. I'm definitely looking forward to spending more time with it, and I'm hoping to pull the audio off soon. deepak Posted February 28, 2007 Author Report Posted February 28, 2007 It would have been cool if the Peter Murphy radio sessions made it on there.
Dusty Chalk Posted February 28, 2007 Report Posted February 28, 2007 But it doesn't have the "Every Day is Exactly the Same" music video (the cartoon one). :*(
mirumu Posted April 5, 2007 Report Posted April 5, 2007 I seem to have missed this one, have to grab the Blu-ray if they deem to release it in the south pacific region . Oh, and I'd kill to see Pink Floyd play Animals live, I loved that album.
ojnihs Posted April 5, 2007 Report Posted April 5, 2007 Oh, and I'd kill to see Pink Floyd play Animals live, I loved that album. Animals is my favorite album of all time and yes, I would kill to see them play it live as well.
