RudeWolf Posted December 6, 2012 Report Posted December 6, 2012 Now all that remains is hearing if the mastering is any good.
Tyll Hertsens Posted December 6, 2012 Report Posted December 6, 2012 Sweet! I'll have to point to that from my upcoming 580/600/650 review. Thanks Dusty.

nikongod Posted December 7, 2012 Report Posted December 7, 2012 Spoiler: They're good. This is not news to anyone with functional hearing.
TMoney Posted December 7, 2012 Report Posted December 7, 2012 ^ Agreed. Its amazing how well they stand up tonally to some of the current flagships. Senn really nailed it with the 600s. They are clearly beaten by todays big boys, but they still sound awfully nice.
Dusty Chalk Posted December 7, 2012 Author Report Posted December 7, 2012 Disagree -- it depends on the amplification. They do scale -- and that means both ways -- if they sound better with better amplification, then they don't sound as good with not as good amplification I really wish the article had mentioned how he amped them. That said, I heard them amped really well recently, and I had forgotten how good they can sound.
TMoney Posted December 7, 2012 Report Posted December 7, 2012 (edited) Heh, fair enough. I was listening to them on AMB's Dynahi, so I guess thats more or less an ideal case as far as amplification. Edited December 7, 2012 by TMoney
