shellylh Posted December 4, 2012 Report Posted December 4, 2012 Oops, that is what I meant. I just tried it again and it worked fine (didn't redirect to url4short.info) but went to head-case. Has anyone else run into this?
tkam Posted December 4, 2012 Author Report Posted December 4, 2012 I use Firefox and all the post controls are greyed out. You can still post images using {img} ... {/img} with regular brackets When you see the post controls greyed out - do you see the first button - the BBCode one? Make sure it's switched on. If that's not the issue could you take a screenshot of what you are seeing?
Voltron Posted December 4, 2012 Report Posted December 4, 2012 That was the problem, Todd. Thanks for the quick fix!
n_maher Posted December 4, 2012 Report Posted December 4, 2012 Todd, BBCode is turned on for me (links work, text options work) it's just the image dialog box that crashes. I'm going to chalk this up to being on what is largely considered to be an unsupported browser and just use the [img*] tags at work.
Dusty Chalk Posted December 4, 2012 Report Posted December 4, 2012 Nate, if you have any kind of blocker (NoScript, etc.), try turning on ipscdn.com. Your company might be blocking it, but that was something new I had to turn on here.
Dusty Chalk Posted December 4, 2012 Report Posted December 4, 2012 Maybe this has been said already, but whenever I switch to the black theme it reverts back to the white theme after a while.Yeah, it's doing this to me now, too. Don't know about the logout part, I don't logout. But when I close the window, and come back, and open a tab into head-case, it's white again. And the bottom left hand corner is slightly different -- instead of just having a single "Change Theme" button, it has a thing that says click to change manually, and when I click it, it refreshes with the InfiniteDark theme.
tkam Posted December 4, 2012 Author Report Posted December 4, 2012 That's due to some changes I made to help mitigate the issue of people getting stuck on the mobile version. Based on browser it should to force you to the default theme. Still waiting on an updated version of infinitedark anyways.
tkam Posted December 5, 2012 Author Report Posted December 5, 2012 The issue that was keeping people stuck on the mobile theme has now been fixed. Due to this I've also removed some of the changes I made that may have interfered with anyone trying to use the Infinite Dark theme. I'm still waiting on an updated version of the Infinite Dark theme so don't be surprised if everything doesn't work correctly with it.
tkam Posted December 6, 2012 Author Report Posted December 6, 2012 Infinite Dark theme has now been updated and should be fully functional again.
mikeymad Posted December 6, 2012 Report Posted December 6, 2012 Looks much better now - long live, none more black
luvdunhill Posted December 6, 2012 Report Posted December 6, 2012 Tapatalk released an update I believe on the client side and it's still broken here at Head-Case.Todd, just curious, do you have statistics on the popularity of various User-Agents on Head-Case?
Dusty Chalk Posted December 6, 2012 Report Posted December 6, 2012 I still can't post from Infinite Dark.
Voltron Posted December 6, 2012 Report Posted December 6, 2012 (edited) I wonder if I can post from None Moar Black... EDIT: Apparently so. Edited December 6, 2012 by Voltron
Dusty Chalk Posted December 6, 2012 Report Posted December 6, 2012 Really, it's just me? Ah, there we go. Nevermind, Todd, it was the clear one's cache and cookies thing.
aardvark baguette Posted December 6, 2012 Report Posted December 6, 2012 (edited) i've been able to post on the pc, but not the mac (regular retina distiller mode) in chrome until yesterday / this morning (most recent time i tried) will try out dark theme on it tonight, but dark is working in xp chrome for me now Edited December 6, 2012 by aardvark baguette
tkam Posted December 6, 2012 Author Report Posted December 6, 2012 Still waiting on a server side update to Tapatalk, the new version is supposedly in testing now so hopefully the wait won't be too much longer. I actually do have quite a bit of data on user-agents and all that fun stuff (thanks Google Analytics!): Device Type: Desktop: 82.6% Mobile (includes Tablets): 17.3% OS: Windows: 58.17% Mac OS X: 22.06% iOS: 13.44% Android: 3.78% Browsers: Chrome: 31.31% Safari: 25.42% Firefox: 25.17% IE: 12.30%
tkam Posted December 6, 2012 Author Report Posted December 6, 2012 Example please? - seems to work ok
Dusty Chalk Posted December 6, 2012 Report Posted December 6, 2012 You gotta admit, that's pretty weird. Snarky response #2: SNAFU.
grawk Posted December 6, 2012 Report Posted December 6, 2012 ok this time it worked. I posted a picture with a in it and it was filled with unprocessed html
tkam Posted December 8, 2012 Author Report Posted December 8, 2012 Updated version of tapatalk installed, this should fix the existing issues with it and the new forum software version. 2
Grahame Posted December 8, 2012 Report Posted December 8, 2012 Still seems broken in tapa talk. Could see grawks post in latest thread header, but don't see it in the thread itself. The web view is OK, though. Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk 2
tkam Posted December 8, 2012 Author Report Posted December 8, 2012 grahame you are right i'm seeing the same thing, i'll go complain to the tapatalk folks.
