swt61 Posted November 27, 2012 Author Report Posted November 27, 2012 So seeing as I have to have a monitor in any case, would an iMac be a good solution as well? Assuming it's capable of running Mountain Lion well. Quote
grawk Posted November 27, 2012 Report Posted November 27, 2012 you can get a much smaller monitor than the imac, but the imac is a good solution (and what I use) Quote
luvdunhill Posted November 27, 2012 Report Posted November 27, 2012 (edited) For us non-Mac types what would be a good one to look for on the cheap for doing music serving and AirPlaying? Soon I will have a 2009 mini up for sale that runs Mountain Lion with 8 G RAM and a 750 G hybrid HDD... I have been watching the prices on Ebay recently to figure out fair market value... I could easily give you a quick intro at my place before I leave in a couple weeks... Quote

Currawong Posted December 15, 2012 Report Posted December 15, 2012 Amarra for $59. Was from a promo a while ago but the link still works. Just remember to set alert sounds to an interface other than the one being used for music output for best results. Quote
Torpedo Posted December 15, 2012 Report Posted December 15, 2012 ^But this seems to be just for an "additional seat license" which I guess requires you already own a license. Wasn't this to get an offer for Amarra clients friends? Quote
