grawk Posted April 28, 2015 Report Posted April 28, 2015 Dropped the Calfee off for final assembly and setup. Calfee Tetra Pro, Ksyrium SSC wheels, ultegra 6800 group w/ compact crank, vintage sells turbo saddle and Shimano mtb pedals. 5
n_maher Posted April 28, 2015 Report Posted April 28, 2015 That'll be very similar to my ride Dan and I think you'll be pretty happy.
n_maher Posted May 4, 2015 Report Posted May 4, 2015 Nicely done! I rode to work today. It was exceptional out this morning. Temps in the mid 50s, no wind, etc. This afternoon I'm looking at a 15mph headwind (a theme this year so far) and temps in the mid 80s. Mother nature is killing me. 1
Mister X Posted May 4, 2015 Report Posted May 4, 2015 (edited) Yeah, just one day without 15 - 20 winds would be nice. Edited May 4, 2015 by Mister X
jose Posted May 4, 2015 Report Posted May 4, 2015 ... Mother nature is killing me. Yes, this year we had a terrible Winter; cold, wind, rain, ice... this not normal here. This weekend we had 30º
Augsburger Posted May 4, 2015 Report Posted May 4, 2015 OK, from hence forth I will shut up about the rides here feeling like riding into a hair dryer.
raffy Posted May 5, 2015 Report Posted May 5, 2015 Don't get me stated on headwinds. John and Mike will attest to this but nothing brings out cunty doucheface Raffy quicker than headwinds. Well, next to beerdouches that is. I've said this a million times before, I'd rather ride in 110 or 35 degrees than into 15 mph headwinds. And no, don't tell me that I get tailwinds at some point because I don't give a shit about that.
guzziguy Posted May 5, 2015 Report Posted May 5, 2015 Yes, this year we had a terrible Winter; cold, wind, rain, ice... this not normal here. This weekend we had 30º OK, from hence forth I will shut up about the rides here feeling like riding into a hair dryer. I'm guessing that Jose means 30º C. If so, he was riding into a hair dryer too.
Mister X Posted May 9, 2015 Report Posted May 9, 2015 Nothing like getting caught in the rain after hammering for an hour when it's 85° out.
VPI Posted May 11, 2015 Report Posted May 11, 2015 My DVR records all Cycling so I have watched a few of the legs so far. Disappointed my bike is not represented anymore so I do not care as much.
Voltron Posted May 11, 2015 Report Posted May 11, 2015 I'm watching the Giro and the Tour de California, although I am behind on the Giro so I am catching up.
n_maher Posted May 11, 2015 Report Posted May 11, 2015 Barely have time to ride, not to mention watching other people ride. Speaking of the former, rode to work today. It was one of those weird spring days when it's warmer at 5AM than it is at 5PM. That said, I had a glorious 5-10mph tailwind in the afternoon and cruised the 20.4 miles in 1:03. 2
Voltron Posted May 11, 2015 Report Posted May 11, 2015 Are you suggesting I'm lazy?! The English gits doing the Giro commentary are simply awful. 1
Dreadhead Posted May 12, 2015 Report Posted May 12, 2015 I am watching both when possible. I stream Eurosport using steephill, the picture isn't great but the commentators are great. Still haven't been able to ride in weeks.
raffy Posted May 12, 2015 Report Posted May 12, 2015 I am watching both too. The Giro is thru BEIN Sports and I don't mind the commentators on that one. I am not a commentary Nazi though so these may be the same 2 Brits people dislike. Did anyone read about that fucktard shithead hipster who tried to ride with the peloton in stage 2 and caused that big crash. I think it is time to set up hipster concentration camps for the good of humanity 1
Dreadhead Posted May 12, 2015 Report Posted May 12, 2015 ^ I should be clear that I watch Steephil's streams because I couldn't find a way to get Bein without a whole bunch of other shit. I was looking at sling networks sports package but it was unclear if you got the online content or not.
Nebby Posted May 12, 2015 Report Posted May 12, 2015 Footage of the crash, you can see the idiot at 10secs in: https://youtu.be/OoNFSiCq9Lo
jose Posted May 12, 2015 Report Posted May 12, 2015 I´m waching both too on Eurosport. I´m happy because they are broadcasting all races. What do you think about Contador? Will be the winner? I want to see another duel: "Dowsett vs Wiggins"
Dreadhead Posted May 12, 2015 Report Posted May 12, 2015 I want to see another duel: "Dowsett vs Wiggins" I don't see much of a duel there. Wiggins. When Dowsett wins a few golds in the pursuit and a TT worlds then they'll talk.
