Nebby Posted February 2, 2014 Report Posted February 2, 2014 Picked up the package of all the videos from sufferfest. It was $160, so $10 each. Quote
CD44hi Posted February 2, 2014 Report Posted February 2, 2014 I have some old spinerval videos (vhs! and dvd) and one contemporary. Anyone know how sufferfest compares to spinervals? I am of the opinion that no matter what indoor sucks. However if the new systems/base training bring integration and networking, that is a huge motivator in my experience. Quote
Dreadhead Posted February 2, 2014 Report Posted February 2, 2014 Sufferfest is more entertaining than Spinervals in my experience. I did the buy everything last year for Sufferfest but I think that they put out a few videos since. Quote

CD44hi Posted February 2, 2014 Report Posted February 2, 2014 May have to give sufferfest a try then Went for a very salty 25 miles today. Spent 30 mins getting all the crud out of the bike! Oiling the chain, cleaning cassette, hubs etc. Even my water was tasting salty after a while thee hee. Sent from my SGH-T679 using Tapatalk 2 Quote
Dreadhead Posted February 2, 2014 Report Posted February 2, 2014 (edited) I did 20 miles. I guess I should have checked over my bike a bit after. Didn't seem that salty. New Mad Fiber clinchers ride great and the new style rear has pretty awesome lateral stiffness it seems. Edited February 2, 2014 by Dreadhead Quote
n_maher Posted February 2, 2014 Report Posted February 2, 2014 I was all set to go out for a little blast around town and then it started raining. Mid-season I'd say eff it and go, February, not so much. Quote
nikongod Posted February 2, 2014 Report Posted February 2, 2014 I *Finally* got my new Dynamo-hub built into a wheel, and I rode most of the way home from Brooklyn today. 1 Quote
Nebby Posted February 3, 2014 Report Posted February 3, 2014 Did 27 miles today, it was quite nice and warm today! I didn't check the bike after the ride, but it didn't look too bad; I rode mostly on the trail though. Quote
Dreadhead Posted February 3, 2014 Report Posted February 3, 2014 Since I don't care about football I went down to the basement and lubed the chain just in case and did a bit of wiping down but it really wasn't bad at all. Quote

That's a magnet for gunk. By the way I should have stopped to take a few shots of the stream in rock creek. Chunks of ice enclustered everywhere in the stream. Beautiful! raffy Posted February 5, 2014 Report Posted February 5, 2014 Damn, the more I read about the Wahoo Kickr, the more I want one. At the same time, I can get a Stages Power meter for a few hundred less that I can actually use out on the road....... Quote

justin Posted February 7, 2014 Report Posted February 7, 2014 My LBS is advertising 40% off on in stock CAAD10s Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Quote
Nebby Posted February 7, 2014 Report Posted February 7, 2014 Do they have 2014's? I'm guessing they only have 2013's in stock Quote
justin Posted February 7, 2014 Report Posted February 7, 2014 (edited) I bought my 2013 in september and they had almost nothing so i think 2014s -- unless they bought up a bunch of cannondale's 2013 closeouts and then never sold them https://www.facebook.com/pages/Bike-Factory-of-Charlottesville/186313419274 so dealer price is probably 50% of retail, and they probably just want to get rid of them and order fresh inventory. probably really weak sales this winter with the cold Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Edited February 7, 2014 by justin Quote
raffy Posted February 8, 2014 Report Posted February 8, 2014 I've rode 70 miles since Monday.................................on my trainer. Quote

justin Posted February 8, 2014 Report Posted February 8, 2014 The only thing that kept me going on the 2x 30 mile rides i did solo was the need to get back to my car Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 2 Quote
justin Posted February 8, 2014 Report Posted February 8, 2014 what's a good Trainer Road ride to do that isnt too long or difficult? between soccer and the first two sufferlandria rides my legs just need a break Quote
raffy Posted February 8, 2014 Report Posted February 8, 2014 Fin, it's not easy but not ball busting hard like Sufferfests. If you want something with no threshold work, try Pettit. Quote
