Dusty Chalk Posted August 15, 2012 Report Posted August 15, 2012 Did I forget Spaced? Yeah, I definitely have to add Spaced. Was going to make the techno phone ring my ringtone for a while. Also: Archer. Quote
morphsci Posted August 15, 2012 Report Posted August 15, 2012 maybe the portuguese translators were better writers than the english script writers Good point. It wouldn't be too difficult. Quote
Dusty Chalk Posted August 15, 2012 Report Posted August 15, 2012 Oh, and another one -- Ghost in the Shell: Stand-Alone Complex -- though I'd have to rewatch the whole series to be sure, as I do remember some that were weaker than others, but I don't remember thinking any of them were out-and-out bad. Mediocre, yes; that one "caught in a theater vortex" one was a little out there, as was the adventures of the killer robot one, but certainly not bad. There were only two seasons, right? Quote
grawk Posted August 15, 2012 Author Report Posted August 15, 2012 Oh, if you're going to include anime, that's gonna open up the list a whole lot Quote
Dusty Chalk Posted August 15, 2012 Report Posted August 15, 2012 Okay, go. (Keep it to ones I can watch please, just so I don't get too frustrated.) Quote

thrice Posted August 15, 2012 Report Posted August 15, 2012 Moribito Samurai Champloo Last Exile And the two Ghost in the Shell seasons I agree with grawk about Witch Hunter Robin and Mushi-shi Quote
grawk Posted August 15, 2012 Author Report Posted August 15, 2012 I agree with that, at least for the seasons I saw. Great show. Quote
Synchro Belt Drive Posted August 16, 2012 Report Posted August 16, 2012 Eerie Indiana? It was shown on Dutch television in the good days of cartoons and series. In those days they had the guts to air "Gundam Wing", one of my favourite (anime) series. Quote

acidbasement Posted August 29, 2012 Report Posted August 29, 2012 (edited) S.H.I.E.L.D.has not had a bad episode. Whether it will have one remains to be seen, but I'm hopeful. We should just have a general Joss Whedon thread already. Edited August 29, 2012 by acidbasement Quote
grawk Posted August 29, 2012 Author Report Posted August 29, 2012 it'll have a bad episode once the pilot's been made. Joss Whedon is a hack. 2 Quote

grawk Posted August 29, 2012 Author Report Posted August 29, 2012 nope, I just don't get all the fawning over Joss Whedon. Some of what he's written is clever, and sometimes it's bad writing covered up by bad acting and directing. 1 Quote
Pars Posted August 29, 2012 Report Posted August 29, 2012 ^ I'd agree. I had never watched Firefly, so did. Didn't get it, didn't go back. I did watch Dollhouse and liked it, but can certainly see where Dan is coming from Quote
Dusty Chalk Posted August 29, 2012 Report Posted August 29, 2012 ... sometimes it's bad writing covered up by bad acting and directing...What?!?!? Name one instance of bad writing. Quote
grawk Posted August 29, 2012 Author Report Posted August 29, 2012 firefly: the whole series, firefly: the whole movie, the last season of dollhouse, every episode of buffy I ever saw 1 Quote
