archosman Posted May 12, 2012 Report Posted May 12, 2012 Got to drive a restored 1967 GT500 KR years ago. I can at least say I've driven one. One day I'll either build a Cobra or a Cobra Daytona... Source
blessingx Posted May 12, 2012 Report Posted May 12, 2012 Sad to hear. My uncle owned an early Shelby Cobra convertible (don't remember specifics). Along with a later Road Runner, the coolest cars anyone in my family would ever own (sorry dad, the Cordoba didn't make the cut).
grawk Posted May 12, 2012 Report Posted May 12, 2012 The man who was responsible for both my car obsession and my chili obsession. The Omni GLH-S is the coolest car ever made. That said, I want a classic cobra 427 side oiler replica (with real brakes and suspension).
Absorbine_Sr Posted May 12, 2012 Report Posted May 12, 2012 (edited) Ol' Carroll knew how to design and build them. Godspeed sir! Edited May 12, 2012 by Absorbine_Sr
naamanf Posted May 12, 2012 Report Posted May 12, 2012 (edited) RIP to a legend. Edited May 12, 2012 by naamanf
Fitz Posted May 12, 2012 Report Posted May 12, 2012 And so concludes the story of one helluva interesting man. RIP you old bastard.
Tyll Hertsens Posted May 12, 2012 Report Posted May 12, 2012 This thread deserves pix. Sex on wheels. Fucking good run, mate. RIP (rev it powerfully)
guzziguy Posted May 12, 2012 Report Posted May 12, 2012 This thread deserves pix. Agreed! Nicely done, Tyll. Sex on wheels. I've always wanted a Shelby Cobra. If I ever win the lottery, this is what I'd buy first.
