This one though... that's an insanely high score. Same as he gave the Oogie if I'm not mistaken. If I can find it I'll file a report, sirs and ma'am.

acidbasement Posted November 22, 2015 Report Posted November 22, 2015 It's really good. It doesn't taste like a cheap Canadian whisky. I'd say it's in the same style as Bulleit rye, and probably a bit better. I'll buy it again if the price doesn't skyrocket.

I have a bottle of Scapa 16 and don't find myself reaching for it much. Does the 16 have a similar flavor profile to the 14? I know the 14 was only around for a short time. I would guess it's sherried, but I can't find anyone online describing it that way.

Well, compared to the 250,000¥ price tag on the high-end stuff The bartenders I spoke to said that Yamazaki 18 at $300 US is a good buy, in Japan. So, don't be so quick to blame the hipsters 1
