NightWoundsTime Posted April 7, 2012 Report Posted April 7, 2012 Posterboy. Dude joined in 2008, went to all the trouble of creating a profile and uploading a tremendously unflattering picture just to tell us about the 1964 Vincent Price version of I Am Legend. I remember when I saw his post, in 2008, and saId, 'Damn that's one unflattering picture'. Still he's lookin good for 90. Cheers. Quote
swt61 Posted April 8, 2012 Report Posted April 8, 2012 BTW, I am Legend was a remake of The Omega Man, with Charlton Heston, which was a remake of The Last Man on Earth, with Vincent Price. Quote
NightWoundsTime Posted April 8, 2012 Author Report Posted April 8, 2012 (edited) Would be better if you'd joined just to say that. To push some semantics, they're all based on I Am Legend, the novel by Richard Matheson. So calling it a remake of Omega Man or Last Man On Earth ends up sounding silly. Salt Peanuts Posted April 8, 2012 Report Posted April 8, 2012 In any case, I like the ending on the novel a lot better than the one on Will Smith flick. I still need to see Omega Man and Last Man on Earth. Quote
blessingx Posted April 8, 2012 Report Posted April 8, 2012 Last Man is reportedly the 'truest', but I've never read the novel. Certainly has the most fun with the idea of hero. It's public domain so all over the place. Omega Man is great in the Damnation Alley kinda sense. Quote
Wmcmanus Posted April 9, 2012 Report Posted April 9, 2012 Thanks for the briefing on the history of Posterboy, Matt. He is Legend. Quote
