I just played a few solo rounds of Nation Red.  Man, am I rusty.  I suggest to any HCers that have one, dig up your X-Box 360 controller and hook it up to your gaming machine.  Some people will still prefer the mouse/keyboard combo, but for others the 360 pad might make a huge difference.

Colin's back in town, and we haven't made fun of him to his (virtual) face in a while, so I'll take it as a "yes."

I dealt with the most bizarre kind of griefing on a public KF server last night.  I was playing Mountain Pass with one other guy (a level 4 medic).  We were on wave 3, and doing alright.  Two level 6 players showed up, both with the new robot skin.  At first, it was kind of cool.  They fired off more or less every voice command, all of which are robot gibberish.  They also did some pretty good killing.  One was an L6 berserker and the other was an L6 sharpie.  Things started to get odd when at the end of a wave, the last 3 zeds were all Scrakes.  The medic and I were on one side of the mountain with the scrakes, and unbeknownst to us, the robots were already on the other side by the trader.  We asked them for help and they said "no" in the robot voice half a dozen times.  Fortunately, the medic and I were able pick off all 3 scrakes without dying by shooting at them while going up the mountain, backwards.  I don't recommend that tactic.  

 

Around wave 6, they locked themselves in one of the small buildings and refused to come out.  Since there were now 4 of us on the server, the waves were proportionally bigger.  This left me and the medic to fight a LOT of zeds.  As an L4 commando, I'm lousy at killing big zeds, and an L4 medic is not much better.  We managed to get through the entire, mostly by running and some deft healing by the medic.  The robots did not exit the building for the entire wave.  That is the strangest form of griefing I have ever encountered.  Pubbing is often a bizarre experience.

I did some digging and found I need the following achievements:

 

Heal 200 teammates with the MP7's medication dart.

Win a Long Game on Abusement Park on Hard Difficulty.

Win a Long Game on Filth's Cross on Hard Difficulty.

Beat Hellride on Hard

Win a Long Game on Hospital Horrors on Hard Difficulty.

Beat Ice Cave on Hard

 

 

There's a bunch more of course, but these are the ones I'm immediately after.

Kill 12 zeds with a full magazine from the Combat Shotgun

Kill a zed that has injured a player (M7A3 rifle)

Kill 4 Stalkers in a game with the Vlad9000 Nailgun

Heal yourself plus 5 other players with one grenade

Set a total of 200 Zeds on fire with the Trench Gun in Hillbilly Horror

Kill a Hillbilly Husk and another Hillbilly Zed in the same shot with the Buzzsaw Bow or M99

Set 3 Hillbilly Gorefasts on fire with the Flare Pistol or Trench Gun

Kill 30 Fleshpounds with the Dwarfs!? axe with back attacks

Kill 500 Zeds with the Schneidzekk Medic Gun while you are falling

Have 20 Zeds you slowed with the Z.E.D. gun killed

So I'm helping a noob friend work is way through all the maps on Normal.  He's set up a server with a password, which is saving my sanity.  Pubbing on Normal = retard bin, but I digress...
