chinsettawong Posted February 5, 2012 Report Posted February 5, 2012 Float sounds like fun. Do you know its dimensions and spacer thickness. Wachara C.
spritzer Posted February 5, 2012 Report Posted February 5, 2012 Just going by memory the speakers are about 100x100mm and the diaphragm-stator gap should be around 0.65 to 0.7mm.
n_maher Posted February 5, 2012 Report Posted February 5, 2012 I think that boards for this should be regulated in terms of who they are sold to, no joke.
swt61 Posted February 5, 2012 Report Posted February 5, 2012 I agree, only the most experienced builders, and people we don't like.
Knuckledragger Posted February 5, 2012 Report Posted February 5, 2012 I'll pay for Hydro-Idiocy's set.
morphsci Posted February 5, 2012 Report Posted February 5, 2012 I think that boards for this should be regulated in terms of who they are sold to, no joke. I agree, only the most experienced builders, and people we don't like. Or people who are smart enough to know their own limitations?
chinsettawong Posted February 6, 2012 Report Posted February 6, 2012 Just going by memory the speakers are about 100x100mm and the diaphragm-stator gap should be around 0.65 to 0.7mm. Thanks a lot for the information.
guzziguy Posted February 6, 2012 Report Posted February 6, 2012 (edited) Or people who are smart wise enough to know their own limitations? There are plenty of smart people who don't know their limitations. Edited February 6, 2012 by guzziguy
kevin gilmore Posted February 8, 2012 Author Report Posted February 8, 2012 The challenge will be to make the thing as easy as a kgsshv to put together and get to work. Still the voltages are a bit high so i'm going to add foolproof testpoints for adjustments.
wink Posted February 19, 2012 Report Posted February 19, 2012 Had local headfier ask me to fix his Transistoramp MK3. It has a blown secondary winding in the transformer. 120V out instead of 330V and gets real hot real quick. Here's the thing, though - the volume control goes to 20.....
