  1. Appreciate that eggil, but I got the measurement a couple of posts back. No need to raid your wife's sewing kit!
  2. Yeah... I don't how long I can go cold turkey. Gotta get the iron working faster... if the KGSSHV looks like it's going pair shaped - the SRM1/MK2 may well be worth considering, I don't really know much at all about the Stax line up of amps - thanks for the recommendation.
  3. I’ve got no rig in the meantime Monkey, all my dynamic rigs been sold off, kind of a limbo for a while at least.
  4. Thanks guys! They’ll be sitting on the shelf for a while before I can finish my KGSSHV... EDIT: n3rdling I just missed your post by a hair, I”m well into the build, I have a mass of parts in boxes and panels that are 95% complete as FPE files ready to hand over to Cam-Expert for some wallet haemorrhaging.
  5. Bit the bullet and sealed the deal on these - Mint MK1’s S/N 70060
  6. Those drawings are fine for basic layout, I’ve found loads of mistakes and missing data, and not to be trusted for re-fab.
  7. Thanks for that Yun. ... nice one Steve, some info I didn’t need to know
  8. Happy Birthday Mate!
  9. I love the idea of Pass driven full ranges and nice to know you're getting good initial results from the subs. Once I have my EUVL's F5X up and running I may do something similar. What sub kits did you use? Looking forward to seeing pics of those painted beasties.
  10. Modushop drawings are a pita... I need confirmation of a measurement for a Hi Fi 2000 3U dissipante case, top panel, see attached pdf. The front panel measures 352mm over the bracket holes, in theory it should be the same as the top panel (which I don’t have btw). Anyone who has a 3U case and a straight measuring pole, could you please let me know. Please measure from centre to centre over the holes on the top panel. Would be most appreciative of your time. 11. Good luck drilling, I look forward to seeing your amp eggil.
  12. I heartily agree in the case of the LCD-3.
  13. eggil - I’m just curious for my own understanding, wouldn’t soldering those transistors last be preferable?
  14. They are indeed a very good looking knob. I found your solution for the 10M90 Spritzer, longer screw, locked down against the sink with a broad washer...
  15. My eyes are bleeding looking for this.... Very slick build, I love the look, what knob did you use?
  16. Definitely a nice piece of kit the only reason I wouldn’t jump for one is my addiction to a little dsp crossfeed.
  17. Happy Birthday Nate
  18. Kids nowadays. They want everything delivered on a platter.
  19. Headfonia stinks of backhands.
  20. I honestly don't know, I just took it literally, it seems Oscar did get the better of me, I have a PS 900 shipping my way.
  21. “Beware the hobby that eats.” - Benjamin Frankilin I’m more a Benjamin
  22. Birgir thanks for the recommendation. My current 40 watter was just competent enough for β22 pcbs, would the KGSSHV boards be comparable for the amount of power and heat needed? I’ve had a bit of a poke around and have seen the PS-900 station for $220aud locally, which is very tempting.
  23. I’m gonna need a bigger iron.
  24. Why? He’s found them and done right thing... He has to hand over the tapes to the treasury.
