    slow forum

hawt. Turns out it does look awesome in real life.
  2. Kevin Gilmore will say anything for a Klondike.
  3. Seems to come from Microsoft, though I have no idea how it generates them revenue. I've got about 600 dollars in my cashback profile, which is a pretty serious outlay. Definitely more than I've spent on MS products in my life.
  4. When I was talking to the seller, he said "some other guy emailed me right after you". I shed a single tear for The Monkey. Nice thing was he was amenable to putting it up on ebay if I paid the listing fees. Pay and extra 40 to save 200? Yes sir.
  5. Wooooo! System complete! .... for now..... My dream DAC, the Electrocompaniet ECD-1.
  6. Hopefully in the future they'll direct their time and trouble elsewhere.
  7. It is for this reason that I enjoy Ebay's new "You get your money when you prove you've earned it" buyer protection. Certainly not foolproof, but it might stop a couple of these instances. It makes me less wary of dealing there than I once was.
  8. I'm watching a bunch of erotic hypnotism videos on youtube. This is the best one so far, minus the ham-fisted MST3K impression. Hilarious. Do I need to say NSFW? NSFW.
  9. True, but that also necessarily means that the correlary is true.
  10. Weird, I attended what will hopefully be the last of many public hearings to irrevocably change a quiet cul-de-sac neighborhood.
  11. One year I actually hosted a Grammy party, under the assumption that if I paid attention to them I'd see that they were not, in fact, little statues for who sold the most records at walmart. Never again. Any grammy award they deliver during the ceremony is an album I hereby swear not to buy.
  12. I did more than pledge, Larry. I bought 'em that night and I've used them happily for like a week.
  13. Gah! QUIERO. I made him an offer. Fingers crossed. I've wanted this bad boy since a weird old Turkish cable maker played it for me years ago, and only now am I stupid enough to buy it.
  14. By disregarding their tastes and foisting your own upon them, that's how. That's the Christmas spirit.
  15. Oh snap! You belong here, dsavitsk.
  16. P.S. That is not a transport. Zephyr. Please do not fill this forum with garbage like the other one. There's the city, this is the Hamptons.
  17. You'll have to compete with Luminette, who once ran a pair of HE90s out of Elephas' ES-1 with a game boy advanced as the source. Of course, that was a publicity stunt, not a long-term solution. I'll second your nomination.
  18. Bass and expansive soundstage? Sounds like the O2 killer to me
  19. CJ, I nominate you for team "source absolutely dead fucking last".
  20. I'm firmly in the accurate camp as well, dread, so it perhaps had something to do with the room and the heil-esque speakers they chose. Either way, nothing really wowed me in there. You may feel differently.
  21. that hand-drawn look is typical across most of Blue Circle's stuff. The designer apparently thinks it's hilarious. All their signage at RMAF was "comically" misspelled and handwritten. I didn't particularly enjoy the sound of anything I heard in that room. Harsh, screechy and digital.
  22. Well excellent, then, I'll get a little list going
  23. got about 12" over the weekend. Love it, love it, love it. I did doughnuts on the highschool's football field after taking off my plates and changing my tail lights. Woohoo!
  24. I drink almost entirely locally. Colorado has a real profusion of quality microbreweries, and most of them are fairly cheap. The selection varies enough that I tend to drink by variety rather than brewery. I also have little idea how much Colorado beer is available elsewhere in the country (save fat tire, ofc) so name dropping here would likely do no good.
