Seriously, Mike, I never thought ASR was calling you out, he was just really upset about moderation at HF. I'll agree that "sniveling" was inappropriate, even if I don't imagine he intended you when he said it. We all know moderation happens in the way he described -- not being a moderator himself what kind of "proof" would you have him provide? I've seen threads moved and posts deleted, I just don't really care. Your threats ("You really should be careful what you say about others on the internet because one day you will say the wrong thing about the wrong person and it will come back to bite you in the ass") seem a little out of line, considering.

Things are pretty good right now, in large part because Jude has his world the way he wants it.

Even more, the SNR of user-generated content. There's plenty of good stuff, but the junk outweighs it heavily.

Well, HC has no such draconian restriction, which unfortunately just serves to make it more beneficial to post the good stuff on HF.

Only time I've ever been moderated on HF was when I posted a link over to here. That warranted a personal letter from Jude, and he was none too pleased.

Flavor of the month or not, the westones are really comfy. If sound quality isn't a high priority, the um1 are a great set. I too am a bassist, and I loved my um1 before I left them on a plane and cheaped out on their replacement. I got mine used for $100 and that's pretty common. The um2 sound worlds better, and I haven't heard a production um3 to compare.

This serves both of us, in fact, since I have a "no preassembled audio in '09" pledge. I'm desperately shopping for speakers in the next two days

It might not be up your alley, Thrice, but Zelda is phenomenal. I'm playing through Call Of Duty: World At War and it's pretty enjoyable as well. I'd also recommend "No More Heroes" and "Okami". Fun games, all. I personally enjoy all the Madden titles on Wii, as I find the gesture system engrossing. I'm not always in the maority on this, though. If you find one used, it's about $15, so well worth trying for yourself.
