  1. Mike got it locked down, locked down. Do yo thing, Mike.
  2. Well played, Douglas. Way to show some class in the face of a huge dickhead. I reported him as well, and quoted his post should he wise up and bury his tracks. If you'd prefer otherwise, just let me know and I'll remove it.
  3. How about this gem: "Fidelity Absorbing Material"? do you suppose I could restore the fidelity by just rinsing it out really well and dislodging that material?
  4. Audiophilechina hasn't been a sponsor for weeks. Their premier sponsor forum no longer exists, and they're off the sponsor list.
  5. OFC. It's good for my hair.
  6. I've heard and love the Wyred4Sound stuff. It is, without a doubt, the gadawfullest name I've e'er heard, however. They had a room set up at RMAF with some high sensitivity baffle-less speakers, and sounded wonderful. I think it's the same company that does the Cullen mods for PS audio, FWIW. I went a different direction, but really considered going for a lower-end stereo amp from them. From the look I took at their caseless model, it seems to be a pretty straightforward implementation of the same module, however, so the D-Sonic should be a better value. The real price is how much you bought it for minus how much you sell it for, of course, and by that metric I'd wager a used Bel Canto is the best value of them all.
  7. Birthed a coyote pup under a power substation.
  8. If I'm not mistaken, HeadphoneAddict enslaved a wizened old Japanese man, forced him to hand anneal silver over a period of ten years, and then required him to manufacture all components by hand. He also rewired a Tango transformer with Gold stripped off Tut-Ankh-Amen's tomb and wired everything to the board with flux brewed from the blood of the undeserving. Perhaps Father Postjack should hear about this.
  9. From my understanding, HeadphoneAddict's GES is pretty well M-M-M-maxed out, so perhaps that accounts for some of the difference? If that's even what you're referring to, Marc.
  10. I remember the proto-GES and the T1 sounding identical after we bumped the bass a little. I see your "less bass control" and raise you a "you can't come to my birthday party."
  11. MMGs (and most maggies) present a remarkably stable load at 4 ohms, in my experience. My MG12s never dipped below 3 in two months of listening. I don't see why the MMG would be different.
  12. I wouldn't take that bet. Well, I would, but I'd enjoy a sixer of lambic with the grandaddy of headphones enough to buy it anyways. Their HD6xx is not really FOTM at all. Even Spritzer likes the HD600. It's a well-engineered product that became a benchmark. I suspect it continues to sell well years after its introduction, though I've not seen the figures. Though the HD800 is in a wholly different price bracket, it's not unthinkably expensive. Any enthusiast worth his salt could feasibly purchase one of these without lusting for more than a year or so. The general public, moreso than the enthusiast public, expects a lot out of a $1400 pair of headphones. They expect them to be the best. If they actually turn out to be the best, or at least a contender for the best, these will be huge.
  13. You would trade money for experience. That is America.
  14. Oh, come now. This isn't that much harder than making LODs, li'l knight.
  15. Are you planning on building it, or having it built?
  16. It's herpes infused with Juniper Berries, jellied, and served wrapped in newspaper.
  17. About 10,000 times most of your recent dates.
  18. That's not just any herpes, mind. Smeg is British.
  19. My stax are, in fact, my baby, so I suppose that would make sense.
  20. YAY uTORRENT!
  21. VMWare/Boot Camp/etc.? Or do you have some beta I'm unaware of?
  22. ...and utorrent
