  1. You'll have to be more specific.
  2. Yay! YGPM.
  3. Man, I'm pretty gung-ho about DIY repairs, but I'd sooner risk getting crazy glue on my o2 than slipping a drill. If you have access to it, you can dremel the screw into a flathead and get it out that way. Other than that, I think the krazy glue disposable screwdriver is your best bet.
  4. That's Dr. Wood to you, kid.
  5. A bunch of Turkish groceries: Mount Olympus Soda Pasta with white sheep cheese and boiling sugar syrup Fermented black carrot juice Red lentil patties. Like falafel, only way better.
  6. Yeah, fo'reals. This is a great place not to skimp. If you let Steve do it right the first time, you'll have something to be proud of for a long time. I'd honestly take some photos and ask his opinion.
  7. I see your blur and raise you blur:
  8. The Black Keys -- Attack and Release I just love it so much
  9. I like to think of it as 4 1/2 books... but that's just me.

No way, baby, that's pure John Edwards:

  12. I paid $4400 in car repairs. Then I burnt down my wife for the insurance.
  13. if it really hasn't been used at all in 10-20 years, then a channel imbalance is to be expected. The drivers are pretty near indestructable so long as you don't arc them, so I'd just run them in for a few days. The charge-up time should get shorter each repetition, and the channel imbalance will hopefully resolve itself.

Oh, bee season. How I miss you...
  15. perhaps "sporatic" indicates "full of spores"?
  16. Thanks for the link. I think I get plenty of recovery
  17. I can't help but feel partially responsible for this...
  18. I'm doing that. Works great. I'm about to finish week three, and I double the max rep if at all possible. Getting pretty hard, but I am under the impression that when it burns is when you're building muscle.
  19. Holy capacitance, -=batman=-! I've known some folks to techflex the flat cable, just for the look, but if I was investing money in a recable I'd just buy a 404 cable or something to that effect. Of course, I don't run a cable company, so the hell do I know.
  20. What did -=she=- recable it with?
  21. Good for you! I myself decided it was high time to stop living a life of lethargy and self-indulgence, so it's monitored caloric intake and workout regimen from now on. We're on day 3 of the diet, but the regimen is in its third week and going well. I can do 50 pushups now, which is 38 more than I could do when I started. Basically, if I make it to the weight most of you started at, I'm golden
  22. No worries. Years of accumulated drool has made them nearly impervious.
  23. Also take into account that certain design features in many products are simply for user-friendliness, or to cover the producer's ass in case of warranty claims. Knowledgeable and competent individuals don't need these systems, and sometimes removing them makes sense. Input coupling caps jump to mind as a prominent example. If your source is well-designed enough not to throw off huge DC offset, or if you are careful to make sure your gear is biased properly, you usually don't need input coupling caps, and you get sonic benefits from removing them. I didn't learn any of this until I came to HC. I just knew that "moar blackgates = better". I'm sure there are plenty more wonderful little factoids that luvdunhill will caustically slide my way as time goes on.
  24. I do, however, love steak. So I suppose I came out on top here.
  25. That seems a sensible compromise, Aardy. I wouldn't expect a better offer to come along.
