  1. Looks like Fang's work. Frankly, I'm surprised he even bothers selling stuff in the U.S.
  2. Ghost - Meliora. Blackstar's up next. This is not a new album, and there's a lot I don't like about it, but just like Fetty Wap singles I keep on queueing it up while thinking about something else. Some part of me loves it, and is ashamed.
  3. Let us all take a moment to be thankful that Crappy's friend Michelle is not a member here, interested in sharing her own photography.
  4. I thought he was a shoe in, as well. Narrowly eked it out, which was rather the story of my year.
  5. Thanks for inviting me to y'alls league this year.
  6. Recently discovered VoiceAttack, which is a very promising system. I'm still in the early stages of getting it set up, but frankly part of what I enjoy so much about this game is the configuration.
  7. Cast Iron pan works well as heat ballast, as do paving bricks wrapped in aluminum foil. I adore my baking steel, and get awesome crust off of it when I get the chance to heat it properly. You will save yourself a lot of trouble with a pizza peel of an appropriate size for your oven, but that's a very large piece of equipment for a thing like pizza, which is made infrequently. In a pinch, after I roll out dough I set it on the underside of a cookie sheet covered in corn flour to add sauce, toppings, etc. Pizzas slide right off the cookie sheet and on to the stone pretty easily, which is helpful because they start cooking the moment they touch down. Also, if you're not using them already, canned marzano tomatoes are phenomenal. I prefer them to fresh tomatoes by a wide margin.
  8. For Shame, Harvey. In the playoffs!

    Elite:Dangerous

We have a couple games bumping around the "What Are You Playing" thread, as of late, so I thought it might be cleaner to use this space to discuss the greatest of those games, Elite:Dangerous. I'll grab some screenshots of my lousy ship and uninspiring progress later tonight, to get things started.
  10. I just showed up to a gun fight, and my knife is listed as doubtful. Also, it looks like I'm only fielding two players that I drafted, one of whom is a kicker. Tumultuous season, friends, but it's been fun.
  11. CJ, I like the shots. If my wife was having them taken, I think I'd be happy how they turned out. They look comfortable in them, to me, so you're doing a good job. The first of the set above, of the blonde woman, could use a little work in post. Her hair makes her head look lopsided (higher on her left side, lower on her right) and she has some flyaways. The background is pretty forgiving, you could bump and smudge slightly to round it out without looking unnatural, I would think. Peter, I require more pictures of Colorado. Also, there's a bedroom for you in Turkey. If I can get some photos out of the deal, I'm happy to help with a ticket as well.
  12. I'm tempted to drop them all out of spite.
  13. Shame, that.
  14. Weird fucking week, you guys. I'm thrilled to have added Cousins in time, but why bother playing him?!
  15. Dinny! It's not enough to just see you on Facebook. You need to come back to the fold.
  16. Congrats, Ben! That's excellent news. I drove to Fort Collins from Boulder more than once to go visit those dorms late at night... He'll have an excellent time, and CSU is an excellent school in a lovely town.
  17. ROS = Frank's to lose.
  18. That classic armor vs. agility tradeoff. This will successfully get two soldiers clear out of a warzone in under 4 minutes.
  19. Perhaps this is a good place to start?
  20. The tool set can all be bought separately... but I bought a set and I love it. Mine came from a Radio Shack that was going out of business, and I would happily buy another. Good tools.
  21. That seems unlikely.
  22. Stretch is smarter, richer, and handsomer than me. You should listen to him before me. That said, were I in your position I would do some soul searching and find a way to convince myself that I liked another, cheaper thing better.
  23. You have received excellent advice, and batteries are not fungible components. OWC and iFixit are the ne plus ultra in this category, especially because of the wonderful videos they produce, which show your specific machine and the parts they sent you being installed in it. There are not many things in this world on which I may speak with authority, but I was an Apple genius and repaired Apple devices 9-5 for months. iFixit and OWC have parts equivalent or identical to Apple's own replacement parts, and I would occasionally watch their videos at work if I hadn't done a particular repair in a while. We had them bookmarked in the Genius Bar.
  24. FUCK. ME. $33k for the DAC without a transport? Another $4k for a USB board? Switzerland, at what are you playing?
  25. Very excited! I'll have to grab one and build it.
