  5. There is also a Platinum version of the 2.7 which is even better thanks to the K-grade DAC chips, I guess upgrading it manually is possible but not for the faint-hearted.
  6. So I guess if this is true, best is to use the E/90 to provide the whatever bias and use a different whatever amp to drive the phones with a special cable that splits the drive and bias.

    Beyer T1

The clamp will disappear over time as it is similar to other Beyers in that aspect, I have big ears but the comfort was fine for me. And yes, I would classify them as a little bit bass-light even if it was run from a C.E.C. HD53N which is on the warm side afaik but it's nothing wrong really. I will probably listen to that demo pair at a later time to see how much it changes. What I really liked is how 'right' the high notes sound.
  8. Just mail him at support at kuboten dot com, he will tell you the rest (sometimes it takes a fair bit of time to get a response but otherwise it is fine).
  9. The one I did not buy from KuboTEN is still available afaik, I suggest to ask Craig about it. And there is another one in the EU, too. So one can easily find it if he/she looks hard enough
  10. Happy Birthday!

    Beyer T1

The T1 does not sound like other Beyers (at least not the ones I tried) which is a good thing It does Not suck.
  12. Happy birthday!
  13. It was discussed before in the other Parasound thread but nobody has heard them I guess. The ones with inferior digital chipses (1000,1500) probably better for this upgrade as they gain 24/96 capability (if the DAC chips are replaced as well with PCM1704U-K chips) while this is not available in the 1100 or 1600. A Hungarian guy has a heavily modified 1100, I will probably try to organize a comparison between that and my stock 1600.
  14. Count me in, but I need to sell this and that first ("this" is almost done:))
  15. Sometimes you can pick up an SR-003 from Japan for dirt cheap so it seems like a good option (it will probably fit in your other package without problems, too).
  16. The cheapest is currently at here: Fujiya Avic You can buy it or ask more information via KuboTEN.
  17. There is one at Yahoo Japan which might go for a good price (and I think there will be in the future, too) but I think you can find within the USA as well.
  18. Happy birthday Thrice!
  19. Wow, nice!
  20. Birgir did, but the result was terrible afaik so there is not much point in it.
  21. The main problem with the HiFace is that one cannot use magic USB cables with it
  22. He told me that he will run out of stock soon but he will likely to list a few more. I wanted to save up on shipping as well when I bought the SR-5NB headband but I had to pay it soon after, too.
  23. If keeping the original looks are not important, I would just get the Gamma Pro cable from eBay as it is better than the SR-X cable.
  24. So I got the Parasound 1600, how can I get it to work on 230V? There are three transformers if I am not mistaken(see picture), do I have to replace those or it is easier just to use a voltage converter? (Are there any which are cheap and don't degrade the SQ?) Thanks!
