  1. I think there should not be much problem with the brightness, there was one opinion with a bhse: "I see a long weekend coming... First impressions - one should send this package to Audez'e to show them how to ship a headphone And - forget the idea that BHSE and SR-009 might not work - it's a fabulous combination Coming from the O2, one starts turning the head left and right to "see" the whole stage - what used to be a (although very precise) small picture is now everywhere, all around... The 009 is brighter than the O2, but not as "glaring" as the HE60 - so it's exactly what I hoped it would be... lots and lots of perfectly defined bass, good voices, lots of details turning up one didn't notice before, no sibiliance... But not picky, even bootlegs that are pretty much unlistenable to on the O2 sound pretty good on the 009. Sorry that I don't have all the lingo down yet - but take my word, this is a fantastic combo "

1st episode was a good start.
  5. Happy Birthday!
  6. Based on the problems reported with channel balance (with three different pairs already, yikes) it was wise to order with the US warranty.
  7. I think the O2 is musical enough on his own and the 717 somewhat warm for a SS amp anyway so that is what I suggest. My friend and I didn't find the exstata to be good with the O2. The advantage of the K1000 is that you can get a very good amp for it which you can use for speakers as well. I would say though that some K1000s sound quite a bit better than others and it is not just a question of being a bass heavy or bass light pair. So hope you have one that sounds really good hard to determine unless you have more than one side by side )
  8. Or just get a better amp for the SR007 than the exstata, it will improve markedly.
  9. So you can make a similar photo to this one
  10. Does the honky midrange still exist on this one?
  11. Happy Birthday!
  12. Which is exactly why I used " " The point is, that I think that the old black MK2 replacement pad might not be the same as the new one which they put on the newer MK2 phones as well by default.
  13. Maybe the pads that make some difference as there was a revision there, now there is a "universal" replacement pad for the SR007/SR007A and in the past there were separate pads for the two. Of course it could be that they just renamed it but I think the leather used was a bit different.
  14. Happy Birthday Milos!
  15. The Stereophile review has some measurements as well
  16. You can drop by
  17. Nope the KGSSHV is considerably more powerful than the SRM727 which is considerably more powerful than the SRM600. The SRM007t which is a bit similar to the SRM600 can't drive the O2 Mk1 properly so I wouldn't recommend it.
  18. I'm interested in the chassis as well.
  19. Count me in for the next board run. Thanks.
  20. Berkeley Audio Design has come up with one as well, also uses StreamLength (really pricey though)
  21. It would be far simpler with a digital input though (much simpler less variables in the signal chain as well) wish I could try it. The guy who wrote the first impression about it uses it with SR-Omega (says the better the headphone the better the effect).
  22. Same type of wood as with the SR-Omega, I am sure it will look great.
  23. Short impression by Sasaki
  24. I am interested as well.
