Chris- Have you bought direct from Concord Records? They have a lot of discs at really low prices. Not sure what is available vs. what you are after, but here is the link to the main page but don't forget to click the "browse all OJC artists" link to dig deeper.

What a great trip Tom! Wow, that's a lot of vinyl in a short time. Are you gonna list 'em all for us or would you get carpal tunnel just from typing it all?! Enjoy! My relatively meager pickup from Amoeba Records the other night does have some highlights. I was looking at the new arrival used jazz LPs and found an OJC release of a Bobby Hutcherson record from the 80s. It was sealed in the original shrink-wrap with the OJC label still on it. I figured for 9.99 I couldn't go wrong because these titles are not available on vinyl generally speaking. Then, I found another and another and... Anyway, here are the sealed, original OJC LPs I scrounged out of the bins. OJC-425 OJC-108 OJC-062 OJC-051 OJC-125 OJC-1727 OJC-1776 I am curious to ask about the source but I didn't have time the other night. Will try to go again today. I also bought these "used" LPs, which are mighty fine as well: Cisco numbered copy 1218 unopened Further Adventures of El Chico, Impulse Soul Brothers, Milt Jackson and Ray Charles, Atlantic I was thinking about taking some pics of the OJC titles. I haven't even opened them yet. Going to make sure I just slit the shrink wrap to get the vinyl out so I can leave the OJC label on them.

NKOTB - TTVJ/Millett 307A Headphone Amp
Voltron replied to n_maher's topic in Headphone Amplification
Nice work! It will be interesting to hear your perspective, but the 307A was such a killer that I think I can imagine the winner. For one thing, you could drive any dynamic cans at all with that beasty. As Nate said, pics will be mandatory -- I don't think I have seen any of the 307A in a system. Enjoy! -
Fixed your fix for you.

I love the foam capacitor caddies.

Oh, but it can be...

Finally got home from the office and I am now toasting to Lily Kathleen Maher with the Glenmorangie Extremely Rare 18 yr. To your health and that of your parents, young lady! cheers

Super-duper congratulations Papa Nate! Fun times! EDIT: Substitute "Announcement" for "Thread"

I'm glad you like the Sigs, TM. I definitely prefer them to the pros, and have had neilvg's pair basically since spritzer sold them to him. I don't think he has heard them yet, but between moving into a new place and the economy going to shit he seems to be busy. Anyway, if you cannot sell the Benchmark (present from wife?) then get the GES. The sigs sound nice on the prototype and I am certainly considering the GES if/when I upgrade from the 007t. I think that would take away some of the etch/brightness that can be attributed to the SRM-1, plus it can warm up the Benchmark's signal a bit for you. I bet it will be a good combo.

Sorry about that Dan. Without the attack part, I had to put my last dog down at 14.5 years and it was still hard as hell. Take it easy.

The Freqs look cool! I will figure out cost plus shipping once I figure out how to do the shipping

Went a little nutty at BevMo supposedly picking up the Black Maple Hill for tyrion. I added The McCallan 10 year Fine Oak for daily consumption and Glenmorangie 18 year Extremely Rare for my own stores. I saw that DogFishHead 90 Minute was available--new to west coast--and picked up a 4-pack. I also got some Hop Rod Rye 22s and a bottle of Leblon Pure Cane Brazilian Rum with a muddler for some Caipihrinias. Mmm. JP is coming over tonight impromptu so we will be trying a few of these I am sure. One less DFH 90 min. already, but he will be here soon...

Smoking bass?

Do they get a cut? Get it, a cut. Oh, and good luck on the interview Jacob!

Sorry it is a hassle. Might want to open it up and check the connections on the first input. I have had broken wires on RCAs and it will work fine, then not, then a little because the connection is sometimes made. I could probably give it a shot.

Congrats on the new amp and crumbly cans Vincent. If I don't sell it soon, maybe for fun I should send you the ED-1 EQ-type deal that pairs up with the SRM-1/MkII. Has an interesting effect on the sound. Sometimes good, sometimes bad. Good thing it has a bypass switch!

Happened to me once where the tire blew right before a tunnel and I had to drive my Audi out to the other side before I could stop. The tire was shredded and the rim was mangled. Happened on the way to a funeral of one of my high school friends, who was also my college roommate back in the day.

Don't fuck with the blues man, woman!

Hope you have a happy and music-filled birthday, Young (or not so young, as the case may be!). If your handle includes your birth year, then you and I are officially the same age: over the hill! Have a drink and forget about it, that's what I do. Cheers!

Maybe a bad transition, but you reminded me of the outrageous lyrics in Albert King's Answer to the Laundromat Blues that I was listening to last night: This number's bein' especially played And dedicated to all of the women From all of the men) You see you women have a good thing goin' But we hip to ya now You take two or three pieces And go down to the laundromat An' take ya eight hours to wash 'em No good! We gonna buy ya washers and dryers And we're gonna put ya at home in the basement And we gonna kick the door down that goes to the basement While we can hear the washer when it stop And baby, baby, baby, when that washer stop You better be though Or you better have a darn good explanation! Don't you go get whupped all on the toenails We're gonna raise your eye lashes and whup ya some And if ya run fast enough We're gonna whup ya on the bottom of the feet Ain't that right men? Speak up for yourself! (yeah, yeah) There will be no more goin' to the laundromat Puttin' your clothes in there And gettin' your girlfriend keep her eye on it While you step out the back door You better take my advice You might need it on your vacation this summer I'd hate to see ya come up with a leg screwed off Or a eye punched out Yeah! Whoa! yeah, yeah! I know you don't know it babe (yeah, yeah, yeah) But things look bad for you Hey, I know you don't know it babe But I'm gonna keep a close eye on you Well, ev'ry time you go to the laundromat, baby I want you to know, I want you to know That I'll be there too!

So sorry to disappoint. Although I think people are knee-jerk against those cans, my response was not meant to be taken in full seriousness, thus the Cartman.
