  1. "the G1 eschews a standard 3.5mm headphone jack for its proprietary ExtUSB connector, meaning you'll need custom headphones or an adapter to plug in your own. What's worse, the adapter won't be available immediately at launch, just a bundled headset."
  2. Have a great birthday Michael, and maybe you should buy yourself a new user name while you are at it! Cheers!
  3. Zerostat instructions: How to use? Hold the Zerostat 3 within 12" (30.5 cm) of the surface or object to be treated. Squeeze the trigger slowly for about two seconds, to emit a stream of positive ionized air over the surface of the object. As the trigger is slowly released, a negative flow of air ions is produced resulting in static neutralization. Repeat this procedure at several points across the surface of the object. Each Zerostat 3 unit has a "two cycle" type of operation, when the trigger is squeezed, positive ions are generated and when the trigger is released, negative ions flow. This means that it is possible to induce a charge on a neutral surface using the Zerostat 3. If the trigger is squeezed, and the Zerostat 3 is then removed from the surface (and before allowing the trigger to return to its original position), a positive charge will be induced. Similarly, pointing the Zerostat at the surface only for the release of the trigger will induce a negative charge. You could also buy one of these, which the magazines claim really works: Apparently, there are magnetic issues on vinyl, according to Furutech that makes this demagnetizer: The new Furutech DeMag is a brand-new tool for demagnetizing LPs, CDs, DVDs, SACDs, CD-Rs and DVD-Audio discs. It can also remove built-up magnetism in interconnects, speaker cables and power cords. We know what you’re thinking: Records are made of vinyl! How can you demagnetize an LP? Furutech tells us the carbon used to color vinyl attracts a magneticcharge and this charge affects the magnetic fields in your cartridgecreating distortion. After you demagnetize your records on the DeMag, you will not believe the difference! “Forwhatever reason, demagnetizing an LP definitely removed highfrequency glare and seemed to enrich the midband… It did. Everytime… Period. The difference was obvious… And do not try one of these devices unless you’re prepared to buy it!” - Michael Fremer, Stereophile, October 2006

    True Blood

I'm trying to like this series because my wife is liking it, but I am "sucked" into it at least yet. I like Anna of the Gap but the friend is grating beyond belief. She got smacked in the head with a bottle on episode 3 and that was the best part of the episode. I thought there was a chance she was getting naked, which might improve her standing, but then they didn't show anything at all. Oh well, I do like the cliff-hanger type endings to make you think about what is coming. Last night they actually had something about "in the coming weeks" to tease you even further.
  5. Happy belated, Slacker.
  6. I agree that there should be no problem and have used the type you pictured, but I recall something about not having both amps on at the same time or something about "feedback" for lack of a more accurate term going to the source, etc. If anybody has those kind of guidelines, it would be nice to know them.
  7. Kiss ass.
  8. I like them fine, but I would have made the design smaller on the shirt.
  9. Funny, but I had the same reaction to Hank Mobley from these records. First on Kenny Drew's Undercurrent then on Soul Station. Really dig his sax. There are three more Mobley records as leader on Music Matters and one on Analogue Productions. Good stuff. Gonna check that out today. Rhapsody has the one you bought plus this one with some extra tracks:

  11. What he said. Their turntable is truly bizarro.
  12. Well, I guess there won't be a real reunion of the Floyd. Rest in peace dude. NME Article
  13. You could kill a shitload of birds throwing that thing at them.
  14. Awesome! You even moved the poster. You really do listen to me. Hmm, that gives me an idea... *PayPal DOTU $3000 to fulfill his HeadRoom Audiophile Desktop dreams* /hypnosis Hey, looks good Mike. I am not sure which I like better but as a symmetry nut who cares less about wires than that panty-waist Jay, I would probably stick with the first one. Either way it looks great and your view is not wasted. Which client did you bill for the time?
  15. Happy birthday buddy! I hope you enjoy my former O2s sometime today, and have a cold one or twelve. Cheers!
  16. I would go with Bluesnik over those as well, but you didn't factor that one into the equation earlier. Bluesnik is one of the best releases so far. Good choice.
  17. So, I don't know why you don't just move your current rig to the place in your drawing. The perspective change would do you good and you wouldn't be staring into a corner when you have that great behind you. The near-field with the HR stands will not be a big deal as that space isn't used anyway. The poster should move to the wall the the right of its current window location no matter how many total windows you have. Alternatively, put it on the wall the the right of where your rig is now. Might as well try it in that location and see if you like it. I sit perpendicular to the windows with an amazing view of SF Bay and I have my rig on my desk with the wires hanging off, etc. Who cares, that space on the other side of my desk is unoccupied because me guest chairs are to the left of my desk facing out the window. Just my 2 cents, but buying new gear seems unnecessary you gear whore.
  18. Out of moose oil?

  24. I guess that was about as close to a formal apology as you can muster right now.
  25. I'm a Juris Doctor, but I can't even stand to watch ER with all the guts and stuff. And John Stamos' 18 o'clock shadow. Eww.
