I didn't even see the fray until it was mostly blown over, but I did note to myself that you were quite restrained. I was making the simple and obvious point that his and Skin's comments about "the majority of reviewers" just didn't make sense. I couldn't care any less if he wants to wait and see/hear for himself or wants to be the voice of reason while people are jumping on the bandwagon, but the original comments were clearly wrong. Still, I wish you had gone for the jugular just to silence that twit.
  2. My God, it's full of stars.
  3. Or it's a cave opening or an abstract tree line or ...
  4. That is a tall pit.
  5. I was referring to the treeline not the bush.
  6. The clarity?
  7. I don't think it now, but just seeing a small pic of the cover in passing, I thought that she had a giant wedge of frizzy hair. It would have looked cool that way.

I wish you had taken the number1suckassfan approach and dug into your position for 5 or 8 pages of ranting! Keep up the good work Knuckles!
  9. Did anybody else think at first that the big black part of the drawing was her hair? Now playing: Alif Tree -- Clockwork Heard them on the Hotel Costes recordings, and thought I would give this frog chef/musician a chance.
  10. You can't blame a guy for tryin'! Just kidding around, Jeff, and I hope you have had plenty of fun spinning the big black discs today. I need another phone stage -- gonna buy a TTVJ/Millet very soon -- but I am looking forward to an afternoon with my new Koetsu cart tomorrow! Good times.
  11. Based upon the ugly cover means great music theory, that must be one of the best records evar! Me? Done a lot of blues today. Switched to alternative female vocals. Just finished: My Brightest Diamond --Thousand Sharks Teeth Feist -- Black Sessions
  12. I got up early here in Mayberry and had some coffee and checked email and this joint. Took my son to fencing class, and watched him parry, riposte and touche his opponents, winning every bout of the day apparently. Then we took my beloved Gallo Ref. 3s -- my first real audiophile speakers other than the good old Klisch Heresies that I did not actually buy -- to deliver them to their new owner, a nice guy also named Al. Seemed right. Had some kind of stomach bug for a few hours that seems to be transmitted through Head-Case somehow and then settled in for an evening a drinking and music while my wife is at the ballet, my son is sleeping over at his cousins', and my daughter is being friendly for a change in between doing homework. That brings us current. Bummer. I wanted to see it but had my doubts. Is The Pines still there? Burgers, beer, peanut shells or some shit on the floor. My wife got her PhD at Cornell and I enjoyed me some Pines burgers. Nice work, especially for recycling! Sweet pics! Did you win anything? Awesome. I saw them years ago. I cannot even place the location let along the year.
  13. Duck! There's a shovel headed right for the back of your head!
  14. My Stax do not hum in the winter, but they whistle Dixie when it's hot. They shouldn't hum, but check for hairs sticking into the membrane and make sure whatever amp or transformer isn't the problem by trying them out on somebody else's setup if you can.
  15. ^^How many heads do you have?
  16. Nice Mikey! Let me know when you are selling it because my Desktop has Home modules and I might buy yours and sell mine. I am putting in my P-1 order today if I can get Todd on the phone.
  17. Email just sent. Hope it gets to you and that you get out of there ok.
  18. Have a great one Jeff! BTW, I know the perfect gift to give yourself: a balanced Beta22! Let me know when you have come around to the inevitability of it. Cheers!
  19. Earth -- Bees Made Honey in the Lion's Skull
  20. Say whut?
  21. Enrico Rava -- New York Days
  22. David Liebman -- Feel: Cues Trio Meets David Liebman
  23. Hello Dan, and welcome to Head-Case! I know you are busy and not active on the other headphone site, but we would love to get your input around here. It is a smaller group with a higher average understanding level, and knowledgeable members are free to speak their minds. You may notice a higher BS sensor as well, so you might need to be prepared to engage in a different way than you might do elsewhere. Cheers, and I do hope to see you and Priscilla in Los Angeles for the big meet.
  24. Jeff "Tain" Watts -- Watts This album just came out by one of the very best quartets in contemporary jazz. Amazing players with a great synergy.
  25. Bobby Hutcherson -- Oblique
