  1. JP told me the serial number is on the ilok dongle. Maybe you should try that. I plan to tonight v
  2. Listened again because Zorn is never easy to pin down. This record continues to some extent from the Interzone record, although I that was with a bigger band. This one is a quartet with Medeski on piano, Kenny Wollesen on Vibes, Trevor Dunn on bass and Joey Baron on drums. The piano and vibes combo is very cool, and the tunes range from full compositions to structured improvisations. I like this record quite a bit on two listens. NP: tUnE yArDs -- WHOKILL
  3. The two on the right are certainly worth a little drive. Funny that the Lot B is $5 more and the Pappy 15yo is $5 less than a local store here. Last night, I met Ric at City Beer for some beer and then dinner at the corner diner, Citizen's Band: Lagunitas Brewing's The Waldos seasonal ale on tap NB Lips of Faith La Folie in a bottle Russian River Consecration on tap Victory Golden Monkey in a bottle Waldos was ok, not great, the Golden Monkey was forgettable, and the other two are pure joy.
  4. Both Mini and iMac are set for new releases this summer, so I would wait on purchasing either one.
  5. I'm going to get a little closer to the proper celebration by hitting City Beer to try Lagunitas' new brew called The Waldos Special Ale, which is being tapped at 4:20 exactly: Reasons to swing by City Beer to taste this concoction: 1.) We are the first folks in San Francisco to tap this hoppy nectar. 2.) When a hoppy beer of this caliber is tapped at exactly 4:20pm, you have a responsibility to indulge. 3.) Drink one for me, because Baby W. is taking a pass. 4.) If the top three reasons don't satisfy your desire to sip on Waldos' Special today, read the passage below from the mouth of the brewery. The legend: "In 1971, the Waldos met one afternoon at 4:20 in the front courtyard of their school near the statue of Louis Pasteur. They set out in a '66 Impala armed with a "treasure map" on a journey to find a secret garden near Point Reyes. They met there at the same time every day and continued their quest. They never found the secret garden.....but they keep lookin'. The dankest and hoppiest beer ever brewed at Lagunitas was made with the help of the Waldos for all treasure hunters."
  6. "Cheap", "local" and "extremely intoxicating" reminds me of my last date...
  7. Ass Pony NY has finally solved the problem of having too many rooms and not enough time. With a total of 7 vendors for a 3-day show, you can really take it all in, and still have time for hookers and beer.* *dictated by JP.
  8. Pizza party sounds perfect! Sorry about the financial woes, Al, and I hope things turn around faster than you think. Greg, you are a walking party! But honestly, sorry for your loss, and don't fly Southwest anymore.
  9. See! Tons of sex in GoT!

    The Killing

Steve is too kind. Sneis is fucked in the head.
  11. Nope. Just curious and figured it was out of place for this thread.
  12. Honey Badger 2 oz Ransom Old Tom Gin 3/4 oz Koval Chrysanthemum honey liqueur 3/4 oz Charteuse Shake and strain into chilled rocks glass. Garnish with lemon peel. I didn't have the Koval but I do have Xtabentun, an herbal honey liqueur that I bought in Mexico years ago and never tried until now. Not bad and it does add some honey overtone to the chartreuse and old Tom. Regardless, this drink don't give a shit!
  13. Drunk drink ftw! Bombay Cocktail 1.25oz brandy .75oz French vermouth .75oz Italian vermouth 2 dashes curaçao Stir and strain. Drink.
  14. Did you buy it or are you testing it?
  15. John Zorn -- Nova Express
  16. Gorillaz -- The Fall
  17. You beat a well known cocktail blogger to the punch by one day! Alcademics "Honey badger shot I've been thinking for a while now that the hilarious Honey Badger video, and the honey badger itself, should be honored with a cocktail or a shot. So I created one. The Honey Badger by Camper English 1 part Laphraoig single-malt scotch whisky 1 part Wild Turkey American Honey Add scotch then honey liqueur to a shot glass. Say "Honey badger don't care," then down the shot. The drink is sweet coming in, but nice and smoky on the finish. It's kind of delicious." But others beat you to the punch: Through the Liquor Glass "Honey Badger 2 oz Ransom Old Tom Gin 3/4 oz Koval Chrysanthemum honey liqueur 3/4 oz Charteuse Shake and strain into chilled rocks glass. Garnish with lemon peel. Note: This is a boozy drink for the fearless!" Some loser FB page "The Honey Badger Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Honey, Tuaca, and sour mix topped off with Sprite!" That last one sounds the most nasty-ass.
  18. Jealous, Dinny. Have a nice time but don't get http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l7TWLxCIgwE.
  19. I've seen all the eps so far and I just think it is so similar to the later portion of the Tudors, which started off well and then got too one-note and thus boring. I don't care about the characters so I find it hard to get into it. The new avatar won't last long. I'll either go back to the kool-aid guy or something else. Good choice. We're likely to quit watching and Claire is usually a sucker for the costume drama soap opera combination.
  20. Good work Brian. Power on through!
  21. Seems kind of redundant for Marc because Steve is already working with him on his project. He'd nail Brad, Fred, Dave, whoever.
  22. The Killing The Boring Borgias Young Frankenstein 2 out of 3 ain't bad.
  23. Ok, on my second Remember the Maine.
  24. Great news Mike! Have a happy Passover.
  25. The Remember the Maine is awesome. As for me, I had a time crunch so I went with a Van Winkle Rye manhattan with Peruchi vermouth and a Luxardo cherry.
