  1. I was off the grid, so I'll add another belated happy birthday Rob! Cheers!
  2. I would have called you a cunt for your prissy comment and imperious demand, so n_maher and Sherwood have let you off lightly by Head-case standards. So take a breath or take a hike.
  3. @skullguise mentioned elsewhere that today is the anniversary of Ian Curtis's death in 1980. RIP to the legend.
  4. Hope it's been a great day! Cheers!
  5. I just cleared out a bunch of boxes of my momentos, family memorabilia, and files from my parents' house that had been in boxes in front of my main rig for many months. I decided to pick a Jeff Beck album (There & Back) from my high school years to celebrate clearing it away (sadly, just into the basement--sorry Marie Kondo). I still like it, but there is a whole lot of Jan Hammer on this album!
  6. Happy Birthday Shel! Hope you follow up your mimosa with some other fine libations and have a great day! 😘
  7. They don't say the cause of death...đŸ’Ĩ
  8. Does anyone else think that "rod" is just a Tice alter ego to tell even more awful dad jokes?
  9. I swear to god that HairyCunt's post was different when I responded but there's no "edited" reference. Weird
  10. Is that OMA also? It seems you were reviewing their new products. 😁
  11. What the fuck is that thing?
  12. Sorry for your troubles with the magic side table, Jeff. I've been meaning to post another plug for Doug's idea of waiting for a combo jointer/planer. I've been using my Hammer A3-31 in both modes to mill some maple and it is such a joy to use. It is very smooth to operate and the results are fantastic. The minor hassle of converting between modes is worth having both tools in one relatively small footprint. I'm sure it will take awhile to get one but it will be worth it. Speaking of maple, Steve and I have finished the miter saw station gave frames and drawer fronts. Very happy with the station and its functionality. Not measuring most cuts because of the StealthStop works great and is really precise. I also got a hose adapter so I could use the 2.5" hose with the Kapex.
  13. Titebond III Ultimate Wood Glue
  14. Doug's idea would be the right one for your next shop or for now if you can fit the size of jointer/planer into your garage that you will want later (which I thought was unlikely). For now, you have the Dewalt planer with the helical head and can live without a jointer if you really want the CNC. 🤷đŸģ‍♂ī¸ Steve and I have completed the miter saw station countertop and installed the Woodpeckers StealthStop system. It went in very easily and is well designed. It seems to work with precision and I have two stops on each side of the blade, or could move 3 or 4 of them all on one side. The countertop is still fully usable on both sides because the track is slightly recessed and surrounded by laminate. If I want to extend the track on one or both sides, i just need to remove the thin inserts that we cut separately.
  15. I would go with the jointer while you are still learning woodworking skills and add something bigger than a magic air hockey table when you have more room.
  16. What's expensive in a Celine Dion video?
  17. RIP Liz Sheridan at 93. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.rollingstone.com/tv/tv-news/liz-sheridan-seinfeld-jerrys-mom-dead-obituary-1338410/amp/ The Seinfeld and Costanza parents are now all deceased, including both actors who played Jerry's dad. ☚ī¸
  18. Party on Muad'Dib! Cheers!
  19. Why did the turtle want to cross the road?
  20. I haven't heard anyone else being that moved by Severance. Maybe I'll move it up the (imaginary) list of shows to watch.
  21. https://www.google.com/amp/s/variety.com/2022/film/news/gilbert-gottfried-dead-dies-comedian-aladdin-1235231387/amp/ Very very sad.
