  1. So you hope!
  2. Just by chance, I listened to that one last night too! This morning: Death Cab for Cutie -- Codes and Keys Nels Cline -- The Veil
  3. Cheers Stretch!
  4. Lately? Sheesh.
  5. Hey, you're getting good at marketing bullshit!
  6. Glad you're liking the 3A, JP. Those are gorgeous, Vicki. Nice combo and super clean job with the artwork. I should get new ones just to replace the lame-ass hand painted version of the cool Voltron logo Ric did for me back in the early JHA days.
  7. Hi Whitney!
  8. Yup, I was watching too, and it was fun to watch the Bruins dominate those Canuckleheads! Big momentum baby!
  9. I hereby rescind my snarky remark and think I will attend. It's hard to do anything that directly supports HF but I don't have any problem supporting my boy JP.
  10. Last night I saw Sarah Jarosz at Slim's, a small club opened by Boz Scaggs. Claire and I met up with Shelly and her hubby Tim, and we had dinner during the two opening acts -- first one good, second bad. From the first notes played and sang, it was clear that Sarah is talented beyond her 20 years. We went down to the floor and got up close and enjoyed every moment. Her voice is even better live than on her two fine albums, and she played 6-string and 8-string guitar, 5-string banjo, and a mandolin beautifully. She was accompanied by a cello player who played it as a bass quite often, and a fiddle/mandolin player. They were both fine musicians as well. There were almost as many instrumental numbers as those with vocals, and even though I loved her voice the instrumentals were awesome (a word she used often in describing SF, her band mates, the crowd, and anything else she likes). Good stuff and highly recommended if you have a chance to her. I am sorry I didn't think to mention it to Ric, with his affinity for female vocalists, so next time she is in town (this was her first SF show) we should be there.
  11. Not to rub it in V, but
  12. Trial is [mostly] over! Had 3 shots of Jagermeister in the office with our trial team. Not my preferred celebratory beverage, but what the hell. At least someone was prepared and it was in the freezer so its medicinal tones were muted. I will be heading to the post-trial dinner for a brief appearance and then on to Slim's to meet Claire, Shelly, and her hubby to see Sarah Jarosz. Cheers ya'all!
  13. Are those giant G4 towers?
