  1. I am far behind on coming up with a solution for my house as well, Jim. I was foolishly hopeful for some kind of SSD Thunderbolt array after they showed off TB with that type of prototype 2 years ago. I am at the point where I may hire someone to set something up that is workable and will work for my family, or at least bribe Grahame with bacon and Diet Coke so he can help me do it myself. Please post your progress and I am going to check out this Synology stuff.
  2. Toasting Stephen and my son Alden who is 15 today with one of Stephen's NC brews. Tasty stuff. Cheers boys!
  3. Too bad they skimped on the cheese.
  4. Have a great one, Stephen, and enjoy your cake with some beer! Cheers!
  5. Sorry, Shelly, you have already determined that nobody passes through Houston. :/ Glad you had a great meal though!
  6. I'm not even into bike porn but those are hot! Congrat Jeff.
  7. How could you pass up Paraguyan Harp and 25 Polka Greats?! Steely but soulless British resolve, I guess.
  8. Happy birthday Jeff, and best of luck fleeing Pennsylvania.

I got in the first two last night even though I was beat so that I could catch up with Claire. Also enjoying so far, and liked the second ep better.

On the second episode and hoping I can get used to lady macbeth's weird neck.
  13. Yay Emily!
  14. Yay, they can put off joining the real world for another year or two! But seriously, congrat for what I am sure was a lot of hard work on your part to get your student hooked up!
  15. You deserve it Lloyd. Don't sweat it Shelly. It won't ruin the sound and it probably isn't a big deal cosmetically anyway. Enjoy the beautiful beautiful music.
  16. And now with moar pork!
  17. Nice Mike and Mike! Having a little pigskin in honor of the Niners.
  18. Congrats Lloyd and Becky on 39 years of marital bliss! You guys rock!
  19. The 105 supposedly can serve as prepro and has digital input but I don't think the 103 has those features. I could not get the hdmi output from my cable box to work through my 105 so I bought an av receiver anyway. I did not try putting a separate audio source through it though.
  20. Alice Cooper should have been a midget.
  21. Oops, the big day slipped our notice, but hope you had a great time Adrian! Cheers!
  22. I have owned two different pairs of Omega 2s but at different times. I didn't like the first pair much so I sold it, but the second pair is the black version and I like them quite a bit. It may be the blackness of the cans or it just may be the BHse and DIY T2 amps that I have now, which are the only amps I have ever heard that make the O2s worth having.
  23. That's fucked up, Greg. Sorry for the hassle but glad you got it back.
  24. Good stuff Chris, Mike and Nate. Sucky news Bryan. Sorry about the spasms, Haj. Hope you can clear that up. I went to the hand doctor today and confirmed that I am going to go forward with surgery on my wrist to address the arthritis and such that resulted from my prior wrist injury and surgery 24 years ago. I also learned that the numbness in my thumb and forefinger on the same hand are almost certainly due to carpal tunnel syndrome, so that I can throw in surgery on the carpal tunnel at the same time! Yay! Oh well, it will be a pain and I will have a cast for 6 weeks, a brace for another month or so, and some fun PT, but hopefully I won't have pain and weakness in my right wrist and hand.
