  1. What about the Stereophile-backed meet idea? NYC?
  2. I'm sure that none of the HC crew will be actively involved in putting on this event like the second through fifth national meets. That said, if people want an excuse to congregate then I might make my way down there and drop into the CanJam event briefly.
  3. RIP Manitas de Plata, my all-time favorite flamenco guitarist. He was 93 and lived a very full life (he's not sure how many children he has spawned), so it is not terribly sad news, but worthy of noting and some listening today. http://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-29937355
  4. I'm not usually big on keeping threads on topic but how about you can the bad comedy routine? Every second post in the thread doesn't need the Wisdom of Wink tacked on.
  5. I've never even considered the possibility of getting rabies in the manner you describe, Shelly. I don't think you have anything to worry about in that regard and I'm certain your doctor will say the same. I really hope you don't sweat it or worry any more about your mom getting it. You've got enough things on your plate already.

Where is the lying part found? I read your post last night and went back to see if he misstated himself but I don't see anything wrong with his post.
  7. Great album^
  8. RIP HP
  9. Frank Sinatra -- Where Are You? (DSD)
  10. Nice! Glad you have a little time for a California treat.
  11. Listening on vinyl and I had forgotten that it has a song that shares a name with one of HC's next generation. Here are the lyrics at the end of the song: Clean as a breeze, bright as the day All of the people gather to say "Sweet Esme! Sweet Esme!" Oh, oh, oh! I believe love will always surround you Brave as a bear with a heart rare and true But if you are scared, if you are blue I have prepared this small song for you: Sweet Esme! Sweet Esme! Oh, oh, oh!
  12. Agree that is a great one. I really like Until he End Of The World soundtrack so this inspired me to pull that out last night. Now playing: Coleman Hawkins -- The Hawk Flies High on DSD
  13. That really does hurt a lot. I love Click and Clack and all their corny humor. Tom especially seemed brilliant and I loved their joyful approach and amazing laughs. RIP Tom and condolences to Ray. That sucks to lose your big brother too early and Alzheimer's couldn't have been any fun.
  14. Happy birthday Rudy! Man, he must have the best stories from all those sessions...
  15. Remember to duck, Nate.
  16. I was sure this was going to be a Funky Buddha beer when I clicked on the thumbnail without seeing the thread title. Oh well, the actual donut looks tasty!
  17. Adrian Belew is awesome anytime, so jealous of that show. We just saw Diego el Cigala and he was amazing
  18. Good luck with the surgery Mike! I'm sure it will be nice to have it resolved.
  19. Why would you use a subwoofer cable for your digital connection in any circumstance, let alone with a parade of pricey DACs?
  20. Watching "Rush" and thinking of our HC F1 crew.
  21. And again! Cheers Squire!
  22. I was going to blame you if the Giants lost. Glad it didn't come to that.
  23. I think Jacob needs to upgrade
  24. No, my dad can only claim to be a Giants fan since 1958 when he went to the second MLB game on the West coast -- SF Giants versus LA Dodgers with my oldest brother. My dad grew up in San Francisco and was a Seals fan and recently admitted that before the Giants moved he had liked the Brooklyn Dodgers in the MLB. I have been a Giants fan for life as a result, and suffered through many A's victories in my youth, including their dominant three consecutive world series titles from 1972-74.
